Now, as you know, cold mornings can be brutal on those diesel engines. When the temperature drops, fuel can actually gel up in the filter and stop your truck from starting. That's where this silicone filter heater is going to come in. This is going to wrap snugly around your metal fuel filter to keep the diesel warm and flowing, so you're gonna be able to fire up your truck even on the coldest mornings.
So, this is just going to hook into your 12-volt system. You can see here that you just have the wires here that you're going to wire this in. And this 100-watt heater draws 8.3 amps and it's going to connect easily with this six-foot, two-wire pigtail that you see here, and I have it bundled up here to keep it under control on my table. But once it's powered, it's going to keep the fuel warm as it moves toward the injectors, preventing gelling, ensuring a smooth, reliable start. Installation's gonna be quick and clean.
No messy adhesives or permanent mounts. The hook-and-loop strap is gonna make it very easy to secure the pad around filters from about 3 3/4 inches to five inches in diameter, and it's gonna be just as easy to remove when it's time for a filter change.
