Video Transcript for Chevrolet Bowtie Trailer Hitch Receiver Cover Spec Review

Today we're going to taking a look at Part Number PC002207. This is the Chevrolet bow-tie trailer hitch receiver cover. This will fit inch and a quarter and 2-inch hitches. It's from Chroma Hitch Covers. This is an officially license Chevrolet bow tie logo. Now, hitch covers are going to help add a clean, finished look to the rear of your vehicle and they help keep dirt and grime out of the hitch.

This hitch covers' going to be made from a durable corrosion resistant, aluminum construction here at the face and at the tabs that go into the hitch. Now, on the front side, you're going to notice a brushed aluminum finish and then you're going to notice the bright yellow color fill here at the Chevy bow tie. Now, the color is enamel filled. It gives it a nice protective coating over the top which is going to give it a lot of protection and keep it safe from fading and chipping. Again, this will fit inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter trailer hitches and 2 inch by 2 inch trailer hitches. It's going to come with these tabs right here.

These are going to have 2 pinholes to choose from. Those tabs are going to be designed for your inch and a quarter trailer hitches. The one that I have installed has a 3-hole design. This is designed for the 2-inch trailer hitches. The inch and a quarter trailer hitch tabs, these are going to accept a standard half inch diameter pin or hitch lock to get it installed and locked or secured to the hitch.

This one right here, the 2 inch design, that's going to use a standard 5/8 inch diameter pin. It's a really nice design. One of the things I really like about is that it offers multiple pinholes. Here on the 2-inch design, we have 3 pinholes to choose from. On the inch and a quarter we have 2 pinholes to choose from. That way we can choose whatever one works best for our particular hitch and vehicle.

Now, your hitch pin and clip or hitch lock are going to be sold separately. If you can need one, you can find them right here at eTrailer.com. Very simple installation process. You will have to assemble this. The only assembly is going to be to decide whatever tabs you need to install depending on the size hitch you have and the it's going to come with the mounting screws. Then you just screw those on to the back of the face plate and it's going to secured in place. So it's really simply assembly and then you can just slide this into the receiver tube of your hitch, line of the pinholes with whatever pinhole you need to use on the hitch cover and secure it with the hitch pin and clip or hitch pin and lock. Taking a look at the overall dimensions, overall width from edge to edge we're looking at about I would say 7-1/4 inch. Overall height, that's going to give us a measurement of about 2-3/8 of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at Part Number PC002207.
