Stop worrying about water, grit, and constant bearing upkeep. The sealed Vault system helps keep contaminants out, uses a heat-responsive hybrid lubricant, and needs no lubricant added or changed for the first 5 years.
Once the Vault system is filled and installed, you can leave the lubricant alone. Adding or changing the lubricant is not necessary or recommended during the first five years of service. That means no routine topping off, and the system stays closed while it protects and lubricates your trailer bearings. It's also backed by Dexter's 5-year limited warranty.
Vault uses a semi-solid lubricant that becomes more fluid as your bearings heat up on the road. As the temperature rises, the lubricant flows more freely around the bearings, giving you the lubrication benefits of an oil-bath while keeping everything contained inside a closed hub system.
As operating temperature and pressure increase inside the hub, the attached plug at the end of the Vault cap extends outward. The closed, pressurized system helps keep water and contaminants away from your bearings, making it especially useful for trailers that see wet conditions or regular trips down the boat ramp.
Vault works differently from other grease caps with an external zerk fitting. You can't simply add lubricant through the installed cap. When lubricant service is eventually needed, the entire Vault cap must be removed to access and refill the hub. It's a messy process, but one you shouldn't need to tackle during the first five years of service.
Vault compatibility is based on your trailer's axle weight rating and hub bore size. This kit is designed for 6,000-lb axle applications with a 2.44" hub bore. You also get two Vault assemblies, O-rings, 1 tube of Vault hybrid lubricant, an installation tool, grease fitting, and Loctite for the installation.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Dexter Vault hybrid lubrication kit for your 6,000 pound trailer buddy axles. Now, if you're looking for a way to reduce trailer bearing maintenance, this oil hub kit is going to be designed exactly for that. This is going to fit your 6,000 pound trailer buddy axles with 2.44 inch hubs and it replaces the traditional grease packed bearings with a sealed pressurized oil lubrication system. And because the system is completely sealed, it's going to keep water, dirt, and other contaminants out, while continuously protecting the bearings. So there's not going to be any routine repacking or maintenance required.
The hybrid oil is designed to adapt as you drive. And as temperatures increase during highway towing or stop and go traffic, the oil actually thins to circulate more easily, providing consistent lubrication and helping reduce bearing wear over long trips. Insulation's gonna be relatively straightforward, since everything you need is included in one package. And what you see here on my table is gonna be what you get. You're going to get these two trailer buddy vault assemblies.
You're going to get two O-rings. You're going to get one vault lube tube here. And then you're going to get one vault installation tool and one grease fitting and a small tube of lock type. But overall, this kit's gonna be a great upgrade for anyone who wants reliable bearing protection, less maintenance, and added peace of mind when towing those heavy trailers. I think that's going to wrap up our look today.
Again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.
