Today we're going to take a quick look at the Phoenix USA Flexi Flare. This is going to be a universal-fit rubber, and it's going to be sold per the foot. This going to be a 50 foot long roll, total, but you can buy it in foot-long sections.Basically, we're going to have our wire to provide a little stiffness to that rubber flare. The flare itself is going to be a nice flexible rubber material, so this can conform to the outside of our wheel-well on our trailer; our VE truck. If you've got a jeep that you want to put a little extra flare on to keep any debris or rocks from coming up and damaging your car, this is going to be a great fit for you.You will need to install this with some hardware. It does not come with any hardware, but basically there will be a few holes along the length of this ...
it might be kind of hard to see in the camera there, but there's some pre-drilled holes where you can use to mount that up around the outside of your wheel-well.This flap is going to go inside the wheel-well, so this portion here is what's actually going to be seen on the outside. So if it's mounted up like this, this portion is what you're actually going to see, and the rest of this is going to be hidden.So it's nice that it actually goes underneath, and provides a good barrier between our wheel-well and the rest of our vehicle. Again, keeps anything from getting kicked up and ruining our paint, or anything like that. It also helps our hardware to stay hidden inside there, so you don't have any unsightly bolts or screws coming out.As far as the width of this, it's going to be 2 1/4 inches wide, as far as the portion that we can actually see. Overall, it's going to be closer to about 3 1/2 inches, so there'll be about 3/4 of an inch there that you don't actually see.
And then it does have a little bit of a curve there, so when I flatten it out it gets a little bit wider, but .Should be a pretty easy install. Again, you will have to screw some, maybe self-tapping, screws into your wheel-well to get this attached. Those are not included, but it does come with the wire to run into that portion there, that helps to just give it a little bit of stiffness. Helps you match it up to the shape of your wheel-well.Now this is sold by the foot, so again, whatever quantity that you select will be the number of feet that you get.And that's going to do it for our look at the Phoenix USA Flexi Flare, universal fit rubber flare.
