Hello, neighbors. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look together at the Superwinch Tiger Shark Off-Road Winch with a nice Synthetic Rope and a Hawse Fairlead, ready for 15,000 pounds. Now folks, this off-road Winch is designed for heavy duty vehicle recovery applications. It has a sealed 6.8 horsepower series round motor to efficiently deliver quick, safe line pulling, and it responds to an increase in load by then safely slowing down and reducing the current to minimize the risk of overheating the motor. It's also gonna reduce the risk of damage from snow, rain, dust, those kind of things.

The handheld remote here has a 30 foot lead. You got your in and out switch here, and that would plug in right here on the side underneath the dust cover. Now they also have a built in free spooling clutch over here. That's gonna ensure the fast rope payout and reduce wear on the motor. So if you need to just turn the brake off and then just pull this line out freely, you can do that as needed.

Now this gearbox can also be rotated so that you can reach the clutch handle no matter where you mount the winch. So nice feature. It does feature a half inch diameter synthetic rope. It's super strong and durable. It is 78 feet long.

78 feet. It includes a removable latched hook. So you can take the pin out here. You can remove the hook as needed. And they also give you this nylon hand saver strap.

That way, when you're pulling it out and everything, you don't have to worry about the big, heavy metal on your hand if it's cold, wet, whatever. Now this is mounted over an all steel drum. It's stainless steel hawse fairlead here. This guy right here is gonna protect that synthetic rope from damage by reducing strain and rubbing. Now the automatic cone brake will hold a hundred percent of the load while minimizing winch creek, meaning if you've got it out strong and you have that brake on, it's gonna hold a hundred percent. Now everything electrically and everything has been sealed. Let me get this outta the way. So the contactor transmits power from the vehicle's battery to the winch motor. They give you the included wire to go to the battery as well to finish that insulation. Now the gearbox is a three stage planetary gearbox. It's gonna quickly and quietly turn the drum, and it has a rugged construction that will stand up to stress and torque. The body and everything here is a extruded aluminum. So it's lightweight. It's been black powder coated on the finish. Super sturdy and corrosion, but again, a lightweight to help make this winch just a little bit lighter. It's about 77 pounds. There's another version we carry that has the steel rope, and with that all, just that minor change from synthetic to steel rope is about 25 pounds difference, give or take. It's about 99 pounds. So this guy, again, is only 77 pounds. Now it does use stainless steel tie bars, and all the hardware that's included here is all stainless steel as well. And that way, the strength and structural rigid agility of the body when it's installed and everything is gonna be nice and strong. Now as far as some the information. As far as the rate of line pool with a single layer of rope on the drum, it gives 15,000 pounds static load. And the vehicle recovery capacity is rated for 7,500 pounds. The motor's 12 volt DC, and it has a gear ratio of 262 to 1. Folks, you're getting a nice three year limited warranty on all the electrical components, and a nice limited lifetime on the mechanical components themselves.
