Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in your rear cargo area, behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the trim panels to access this harness.
Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed within your trunk.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because your vehicle runs on a multiplex wiring system, the wiring needs to be converted to be compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Now this wiring harness has been designed to fit your 2020 to 2022 Nissan Rogue Sport. And on custom fit parts such as this wiring harness, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide. Just enter the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this will work for you, or if we have another harness that will work for you.
Now, this harness is going to give you that 4-pole flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer signal lights. But this is also going to be compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole, and 7-pole adapters. Those adapters are sold separately. And included, if you notice here, is this dust cap for the 4-pole flat connector, which is tethered to the plug housing, which I really like. So you're not gonna have to worry about easily misplacing or losing this since it's tethered to that housing.
And of course, as you know, that dust cap is going to cover up those connection points when the plug is not in use, protecting it from dust, debris, and moisture. Now this black box on this harness is the ModuLite power module. This ModuLite is going to make sure that your vehicle's wiring matches out of your trailer. It does connect directly to your vehicle's battery to avoid overloading its electrical system, reducing strain on your vehicle's wiring system. And this will not affect how the taillights on your vehicle operates.
This harness is designed to connect quickly and easily so there's no splicing wires. There's no alteration to your vehicle's wiring, which could lead to damage or possibly void warranties. These custom fit T-One connectors are going to plug into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is probably gonna be located in your rear cargo area behind the driver's side and passenger side taillights. You will have to remove the trim panels to access that harness. And these T-connectors are custom fitted for your Rogue, so they are going to match up perfectly with the connection points on that vehicle.
They're gonna snap and lock together for a tight, secure fit. Once you have these plugged in, you will need to make a good ground connection. The ground wire is this white wire and it does have a ring terminal attached to it. It does come with a self-tapping screw, so you can get this grounded to a suitable location, such as your vehicle's frame or cross member. You just wanna make sure that that surface is clean and rust free. Next, you'll need to mount this ModuLite box to a safe, out of the way location. You could do that with another mounting screw if you have one available. Or you could use the double-sided adhesive tape that's included with this kit, or maybe even one of the many cable ties that comes in this kit. Next, you will need to run this hot lead to the vehicle's battery. That's this short black wire that's coming out of this ModuLite box. This short black wire is going to get connected to one of the ends of this included bundle of wire, using one of the butt connectors that's included with this kit. And then the other end of this bundle of wire is going to get routed to your vehicle's battery. And once you have this routed to the battery, you're going to take this fuse holder, cut that loop in half, and then take one of those wires with the second butt connector and connect that to the routed wire from this bundle of black wire. And then you'll take the other half of this wire and attach a ring terminal to it. And that's going to get connected to your positive post on your vehicle's battery. This does come with a 15 amp fuse, and that's going to slide into this fuse holder. If you notice, it does have a cap here that's going to keep that fuse safe and protected. You can secure any slack in your wiring. Again, with the the many cable ties that's included with this kit. And then once the installation is complete, you can stow this 4-way flat connector within your trunk. I really like these wiring harnesses from Tekonsha because they are well built, well designed, well made. This is made out of 16 gauge bonded wire, so it's very high quality, feels very durable, feels like it's gonna be very long lasting. Instructions are included to guide you through the installation process. It is also recommended that you use a small amount of dielectric grease on all of your electrical connections, like the plugs on your vehicle and the 4-pole flat connector itself. That grease is designed to prevent electrical failures caused by corrosion and moisture. So on your screen, I am including the item number for that grease. You can just take that item number and pop it in the search field of our website. That will take you to the grease and you can add that to your order. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
