Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in the jack storage compartment of your cargo area.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed in an out-of-the-way location within your cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plug on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A tail light converter is built into this T-connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of the trailer. This converter combines the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
Curt builds each tail light converter using surface-mount technology (SMT). This method of construction involves soldering electronic components directly to the surface of a printed circuit board. SMT eliminates the need for leads, which are used in older through-hole technology. The result is a circuit board that is smaller yet provides more routing area and that offers superior performance, reliability and durability.
Circuit boards constructed using SMT have been shown to perform better under rough conditions with excessive vibration than those made using the through-hole method. And where would vibration be more likely to occur than in towing applications? Curt converters also produce less heat, leading to increased durability and longer life. In addition, lower levels of resistance ensure better performance, especially for parts that operate at higher frequencies.

The Class 3 Trailer hitch fits perfectly. The wiring kit was exactly what I needed and simply to install. That is, IF I knew the correct year of my Equinox. (The hitch was still a perfect fit) An '05 vs an '08 is a total different wire assembly connection & simpler! So I called Customer Service to arrange a hand-to-hand exchange, since they're local for me. NO BIG DEAL! Steve handled the arrangement with ease, recommending the best choice out of three to choose from. Now it is just a matter of getting this project finished. THANK YOU! Hello George. The wiring installed fairly quickly. I decided to route it inside the Equinox so it took more time than usual but I'm very happy with. Just brought it to a friend this weekend and it still works flawlessly. Actually, y thought they had a wiring harness but turns out they did not. They looked one up on etrailer and will be purchasing it soon.
Easy to connect, easy to mount and works as expected. Haven't used the light much as most often using hitch for bike rack vs trailer but held up well after a year.

I needed a 6 wire square harness for my camper that would hook up to my 2006 Torrent. I couldn't find this harness anywhere, so I ordered your 6 wire to wire flat harness and splice my old harness into it. It works great. Now I have a wiring hook up for my 6 wire square and a 4 wire flat both in the same harness.

The harness plugged right in like the description and video showed. Attach the ground wire to ground stud on vehicle with 10mm socket and 12” extension. Really simple.
The Curt Connector was a breeze to install the only down side was the double sided tape that was included for the install was so old it was no longer sticky.
