Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this GSI Outdoors H2JO Twist-On Infusion Lid. Now, this part will turn your water bottle into an infusion brewing machine. Basically, you can make your own tea or coffee easily using this infusion brewing system lid for most standard wide mouth water bottles. Now, for this demonstration video, I did happen to pull a GSI Outdoors MicroLite 18 ounce bottle, we do sell this separately on our website, it's part number GSI76GV. But basically, this lid, you'll use this with medium to coarse ground coffee or loose leaf tea leaves, this will keep the grounds and leaf separate for easy cleanup.
And just to demonstrate, now, they do give you a nice set of instructions that'll show you if you're gonna do hot liquid or this side is cold liquid, but basically, I'm gonna talk about both of them. So basically, if you're gonna use this for hot liquids, what you'll first wanna do is take the lid off your bottle and then place your grounds or your leaves in the empty bottle, then pour your hot liquid into the bottle. Once it's all full, take your infusion lid, go ahead and tighten it down, screw it on there, it has a nice seal on it, and then let it sit for about four minutes, and then after that, you can pour the liquid right into your cup just like that, keeps any of the leaves or grounds from getting into your cup. The other way is if you're gonna do for cold liquids. So for cold liquids, what you'll first wanna do is take the infusion lid and go ahead and put it onto the bottle, tighten it down just like that, has a nice seal on it, and then place the grounds or the leaves into the lid basket right up here, pour your cold liquid through the lid, and then what you'll do is take the lid, put it back on there, and then lay the bottle horizontally for about five minutes.
After that, then what you'll do is just unscrew the lid, take this lid off, unscrew the infusion lid with the grounds or the leaves in it, and then go ahead and pour your liquid into the cup, simple as that. Now the lid itself, it is stainless steel, polypropylene, and silicone construction. Did mention it has the nice seals in there to prevent any leaking. Few specs on this, the diameter of it is 2 13/16 inches, height is about 3 11/16 inches. But that should do it for the review on this GSI Outdoors H2JO Twist-On Infusion Lid..

Ideal for somebody melting snow and filtering debris, but it should work for brewing coffee. Screws in on a Nalgene bottle perfectly. Why Nalgene or more retailers don’t have this is beyond me. Pure genius.
