Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this GSI Outdoor Stainless Steel, 14 cup Glacier Coffee Percolator. This will let you bring your coffee ritual wherever you go with this coffee percolator. This is great for brewing coffee for large camping groups. Works on your stove top or on the campfire.
And it is a nice stainless steel construction, conducts the heat. And it brews quickly so that you can get your day started. It has a nice stainless steel handle right here. And right here, you can see it has a nice stainless steel wire bale handle at the top. Also on top of the lid here, it has this perk view knob that lets you gauge the strength of your brew without opening the lid and burning yourself.
You can see it as it percolates. The pour spout right here will help minimize dripping. And on the inside if we open it up, it has a three cheese percolator. Comes with the cover, the inner basket and the stem. You just drop it all back in there, has a nice hinged lid here on it, and ensures that you won't misplace it when you need it. And this percolator will brew up to 14 cups.
Two specs on this. The height of it from the bottom to the very top right here, it will be right at nine inches tall. The diameter, which is going to be at the bottom, the widest part, is going to be right at six and three quarter inches. And the length from the front of the spout to the back of the handle here is going to be right at about nine inches. Weight on this is right about two pounds.
And when you go to percolate, what you'll want to do is take out your inner basket here, and then you'll fill this with water. And you just want to make sure when you fill the water, it must be below the basket when you set it in there. So fill this with your water, take your cover off here, put your coffee in the basket. They do recommend two tablespoons of coarse ground coffee for every six ounces of water. And then what you'll do is go ahead and put your cover back on there. Take your whole basket, set it in there, close the lid, and then set the heat or put it on heat at the highest setting. And it'll start percolating in here. And then you'll want to remove it from the heat as soon as the percolating stops. And you do not want to allow the coffee to percolate more than about three minutes. And you can just pour as much as you need it. Have the nice handle here to carry it with. But that should do it for the review on this GSI Outdoor Stainless Steel, 14 cup Glacier Coffee Percolator.

Still loving my little coffee pot! After a year it looks just as nice as the day I got it. Occasionally, I boil vinegar in the pot to keep it looking good as new. I use it 2 or 3 times a day. Love the taste of the coffee it makes!
