Features to know about
Stable Handling on Long Trips: Frame-Mounted Tie-Downs
These rear tie-downs bolt directly to the frame to keep your camper steady no matter how far you travel. Mounting to the frame—rather than the bed or bumper—spreads weight evenly and lowers the center of gravity, so the camper stays put through crosswinds and rough roads. Because the frame is the most solid part of your vehicle, it prevents bending or twisting that can happen with other mounting styles. The result is a smoother, safer ride that feels stable even when fully loaded.
Simple Setup: Custom Fit with Little to No Drilling
Installation is straightforward thanks to a custom-fit design that uses pre-existing holes in the frame. That means there’s little to no drilling and no need for cutting or modification. The tight, bolt-on fit keeps ground clearance nearly unchanged, so you avoid dragging or snagging when off-road or on uneven ground. Each kit includes two rear tie-downs and the installation hardware you need.
Clean Look When Not in Use: Removable Arms
When your camper’s off the truck, simply pull the arms out from the frame brackets. The brackets sit tucked under the vehicle and are nearly invisible once the arms are removed. It keeps the truck looking clean without bulky hardware hanging down or sticking out.
Built Tough: Powder-Coated Steel Construction
These tie-downs are made of black powder-coated steel that stands up to corrosion and road wear. The durable finish resists chips and rust from weather, salt, and debris so you can rely on them season after season.
Each tie-down arm includes two pin holes, letting you extend them as needed to clear fenders or sidewalls and match up to your camper’s anchor points. Two anchor holes on the plate allow you to fine-tune the angle for a firm, balanced hold when using turnbuckles (sold separately). This setup keeps your camper locked down tight without rubbing against your truck body.

The Torklift frame mounted camper tie down so far seems to be a good fit, with one exception. I have full length round tube nerf running boards, that extend past the cab. I had to remove them to make room for the tie down bracket. I even purchased the bracket that allows clearance for running boards, but round tube type boards are a totally different deal. At the end of the day it isn’t a deal breaker, I’ll just purchase cab length running boards. I gave the review 4 stars instead of 5, because I think this is a detail Torklift should had accounted for. It is very likely if my boards were flat, the brackets would had cleared. 1306447

Great tie downs never had any problems keeping my truck camper secure. The instructions that came with them were not very good it took me several tries to get them oriented correctly. I wish they had clearer pictures in their instructions. The ones provided were blurry and not clear. 817056

Unfortunately. This will be my last order with eTrailer. Far from having just minor finish imperfections, one of the brackets was poorly made, and required significant shop time in order to make it work. Very disappointing. 3221205

You mentioned that they were not fitting as described and I have a few questions that I would like to ask. Can you confirm the year, make. model of your truck? Is it an 8 foot, 5.5 foot or 6-foot bed? Do you have running boards? If yes, do they extend pas the cab? Do you have a factory, aftermarket, or Torklift hitch?

For your 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD we have the Draw Tite part # 41944 which is a Class V confirmed as a fit for your truck once you remove the factory hitch. This will also work with your front Torklift tie down # TLC2205 but you'll need to go with a new rear tie down part # TLC3205.
For a 4-way you can install inline with your 7-way we have the part # C55384 which will work great. This 4-way is 36 inches long so you would probably not need an extension. view full answer...
The Torklift Tie Downs part # TLC4203 and # TLC3205 fit your 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD gas with a short bed, running boards and a factory hitch. If you had a long bed you'd instead use the # TLC3206 for the rear set instead of the # TLC3205. view full answer...
This can vary from vehicle to vehicle. On the TorkLift Camper Tie-Downs # TLC3205 you were looking at, these reuse the factory hardware on the truck. If you can tell me what other kit or kits you are looking at I can let you know if they come with hardware. view full answer...
We do carry Torklift brand tie downs for your 2004 Chevy Silverado that attach to the truck frame but I would need more info from you to pick them out. What is your bed length? Do you have running boards? Factory hitch? view full answer...
Thanks for the photo it was really helpful and based on that, you do have the OEM hitch for your 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. The hitch is unique in that it has the same open-end on the tubes, the same brackets, and same chain loops, which are all distinct to the factory hitch. So for your '03 Silverado 2500HD with a 6-1/2 foot bed, cab-length boards, and factory hitch the tie-downs you need are the following:
- Front: TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs # TLC2205
- Rear: TorkLift... view full answer...
I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs # AL88275 along with the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System # AL58WQ for your 2006 GMC Sierra HD 4x4 quad cab with the 6-1/2' bed. These air springs have internal jounce bumpers which will help to reduce bounce other air bags commonly have. The compressor system has a smart manifold which allows you to change pressures from your smart phone using the Air Lift app. This same manifold monitors air pressure while you... view full answer...

The # TLC3205 you have now is only designed to work with the factory hitch. Whether it is the # DT45517, a Curt hitch, or even a TorkLift hitch you will need a different rear tie-down. The correct rear tie-down for a 2002 Silverado 2500 without a board or step underneath and with a non-Torklift aftermarket hitch would be the # TLR3501. view full answer...
The distinction you're referring to is about whether or not your Silverado has running boards or steps that sit under the bed and could block the fitment of a frame mounted camper tie-down. The hitch stipulation is in place because some people will install a TorkLift SuperHitch and they offer tie-downs that can be easily bolted to it instead of mounting separately to the frame.
If you do not have running boards or a step in the way then yes, the TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs... view full answer...

The Brophy Clamp On Camper Tie-Downs like the Bed Mount # HSAB referenced in your question are not compatible with your 2005 Chevrolet Silverado because of its plastic bed rails.
I recommend instead going with bolt-on tie-downs like you mentioned that are designed specifically for your truck. I have attached a link that will take you to our available selection of Torklift Camper Tie-Downs that are designed for the 2005 Chevy Silverado. Custom camper tie-downs that are mounted to the frame of your 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with 6-1/2 foot bed will be a lot more secure and stable than the clamp on, bed mount versions. They are custom built for your truck so they're compatible, and they mount to the base of the truck to distribute weight better and prevent the camper from being too top heavy.

The Torklift # TLC2205A front tie downs are a fit for a 2006 Silverado 2500 with a 6-1/2 foot bed without running boards that has a factory installed hitch. The rear tie downs would be # TLC3205 for the steel and # TLC3205A for the aluminum version.

The TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie Downs # TLC2204 and # TLC3206 that you referenced are designed to fit the 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 with the 8 foot bed (without a board/step under the bed and without a trailer hitch). If you have the shorter 6-1/2 foot bed these will not line up correctly to the frame rails and some extensions modifications would be needed to make them fit. I cannot recommend doing this as this could negatively affect the integrity of the tie-downs and will... view full answer...

I checked with my contact over at TorkLift and it's possible that you're going to need a different part because of the differences in the frame size. There are two different frame heights that the 1500HD can have at the rear of the frame by the spare tire or bumper. If your 1500 has a frame height of 5.5" tall the # TLC3203 is the correct tie down but if your frame is 8" tall at the rear, the # TLC3205 is the correct tie down.
