These tie-downs mount directly to the frame, the strongest part of your truck, so your camper stays stable no matter how far you travel. By securing at the frame instead of the bed or bumper, the system spreads weight evenly and keeps the center of gravity low. That means less sway in crosswinds and better handling on the highway or rough roads.
You can bolt these tie-downs on using the existing holes in your frame—no cutting or drilling required. The custom fit means they mount tight and clean with minimal loss of ground clearance. Once installed, they’re ready to go without any need for special brackets or modifications.
When you’re not hauling a camper, just remove the tie-down arms. The brackets tuck up tight under the frame and are barely visible, so your truck keeps its clean look. When it’s time to load up again, simply slide the arms back in place for a quick setup.

Made from steel with a high-impact powder coat finish, these tie-downs are built for years of use on long trips and rough terrain. The durable finish adds an extra layer of protection against chips, rust, and road debris so you can count on them season after season.
Each arm includes two pin holes to let you set the right extension for your camper’s anchor points. You can choose between two holes on the attachment plate to fine-tune your turnbuckle angle. This keeps tension balanced and helps prevent shifting when you’re on the move.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at these TorkLift custom frame mounted front camper tie downs. Now these tie downs are custom fit, as I mentioned, and these are designed to fit the 2000 to 2003 Ford F-150 six and a half foot bed without board or step underneath the truck bed, and with a factory installed hitch or with a non-TorkLift aftermarket hitch. And then the 1997 to 1999 Ford F-150 and F-250 light duty six and a half foot bed without board or step underneath the truck bed and with a factory installed hitch or with a non-TorkLift aftermarket hitch. And then finally, this fits the 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage series six and a half foot bed without board or step underneath the truck bed and with a factory installed hitch or with a non-TorkLift aftermarket hitch. Now these custom tie downs are going to give you attachment points at the front of your Ford's truck bed for securing a bed mounted camper.
Now the rear tie downs are sold separately and you can find them here at etrailer.com using our fit guide. And these brackets are going to fit tight to your truck's frame with no loss of ground clearance. And the frame mounted design is going to ensure excellent handling because securing your camper to your truck's base instead of its bed better distributes weight to keep your setup from being too top heavy. And these are going to be virtually undetectable when they are not in use. The tie down inserts can be easily removed.
So let me give you an overhead shot here just to show you how easy it is to remove the pins. And so you can just easily remove these inserts from the brackets. And as you notice, these inserts have two holes so you can adjust the inserts to the length that you need them extended from your truck. And then you can just take these inserts and put 'em in the back of your cab. And like I mentioned, these are going to be virtually undetectable when you have the inserts out, and then it's very easy to put them back, put the inserts back in the brackets when you are ready to use them.
And so I'm just going to line up my holes here, run the pin through, and we are good to go. Now these are made here in the USA of a powder coated steel construction and you're going to receive two front tie down inserts, the frame brackets, and as you can see here, all of the necessary hardware that you're going to need for successful installation along with the instructions to walk you through that installation process. And these do have a lifetime warranty from TorkLift. And again, these are front camper tie downs. So if you are looking for the rear ones as well, as I mentioned before, use our fit guide here at etrailer.com.
Insert the year, make and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will direct you to the rear ones that will work for you. Well, that's going to conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
