When you’re hauling a slide-in camper for miles on end, you want it locked down tight. These custom frame-mounted tie-downs connect directly to the strongest part of your truck—the frame—so the camper’s weight is distributed evenly and the center of gravity stays low. That means no sway in crosswinds or shifting on rough roads, just solid handling and a stable ride no matter how far you travel.
Installing these tie-downs is simple because they use pre-existing holes in your frame. There’s little to no drilling needed, and no cutting or modification required. The brackets mount tight to the frame for minimal loss of ground clearance, so you don’t have to worry about dragging hardware on uneven terrain. Once bolted up, they’re ready to go with your choice of turnbuckles (sold separately).
You don’t have to leave bulky hardware hanging off your truck when you’re not hauling. The tie-down arms remove easily, leaving only low-profile brackets that are tucked nearly flush beneath your vehicle. With the arms off, the system is barely noticeable, letting you keep the clean look of your truck when the camper’s off.
Built from steel and finished with a high-impact powder coat, these tie-downs are made for years of use through all kinds of weather. The strong welds and durable finish protect against rust and wear so your setup stays solid whether you’re driving through rain, snow, or salt-covered roads.
Every camper sits a little differently, and these tie-downs make it easy to get the right fit. Each arm offers two pin holes so you can extend them just enough to clear sidewalls or fenders. Two anchor holes in the attachment plate let you fine-tune your turnbuckle angle for better hold and stability from multiple directions.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at these TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Front Camper Tie-Downs. Now as I mentioned, these are custom-fit, specifically for your 2010 to 2012 Ram 2500 and 3500, with an eight foot bed. However, you will want to use our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com to make sure that these are going to work with the current hitch that you have on your Ram. Now, these custom tie-downs are going to give you those attachment points that you need at the front of your truck bed for securing a bed-mounted camper. The rear tie-downs are sold separately.
And again, you will go through our vehicle fit guide to find the rear tie downs that will work for you. And these brackets are gonna fit tight to your Ram's frame with no loss of ground clearance. And the frame-mounted design is going to ensure excellent handling because securing your camper to your truck's base. instead of its bed, that will better distribute the weight to keep your setup from being too top-heavy. Now, these are going to be virtually undetectable when they're not in use.
These tie-down inserts can be easily removed from the frame-mounted receiver brackets with the included bale pins here. So let me go ahead and just loosen this pin here and give you a brief demonstration of how you can remove these inserts. So I removed my pin and then remove the insert. And like I said, when you have the insert removed, you're really not going to be able to detect or see the receiver here, the receiver bracket. So you can just take these inserts once you have them removed and throw 'em in the back of your cab until you need them, and then you can slide them right back into the bracket.
If you notice we do have two holes here, and you'll use our first hole here for your camper, if it's a little bit wider. And then if your camper's a little bit narrower, you'll slide that into the second hole there. So I'm gonna slide it back to the second hole where I had it. So these will fit on the table. And then just replace my bale pin here.
And these bale pins do have a nice tension to them, so they're going to keep your insert nice and secure. Now these are made here in the U.S.A. of a powder-coated steel construction. So that powder coat's going to help resist rust and corrosion. And you're gonna receive everything that you see here on the table before me. You're gonna receive the two front tie-down inserts, the frame brackets, the necessary hardware, with a set of instructions to walk you through the installation process. And TorkLift does give a lifetime warranty on these front camper tie-downs. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
