Custom-fit camper tie-downs permanently mount to your truck's body to distribute the weight of your camper and limit movement in all directions. Low-profile attachment points are discrete and rear anchors remove for a clean look.
Features:
The HappiJac Direct-to-Frame design ensures proper distribution of your camper's weight and helps prevent your camper from moving in all directions for a safe and secure ride. The front tie-down brackets attach to your truck bed's frame, between the bed and the cab, allowing the tie-downs to become integral parts of your truck. Already, this sets them apart from stake-pocket-mounted tie-downs, which secure the entire load of your camper to the tops of your bed rails, forming a top-heavy setup that can create an uncomfortable and unnatural ride.
An I-beam stabilizing bar (sold separately) installs horizontally between the front brackets to help create a truss-like structure that spans the width of your bed, down to both corners of your bumper, where the rearmost tie-downs install. Holding the camper taut at these 4 corners - as opposed to along the sides of your bed, like you'd find with other tie-down systems - helps to reduce any front-to-back shifting of your camper during travel.
In addition to the Direct-to-Frame design, the included centering guide lock assemblies further help to prevent shifting. Each assembly includes a bumper pad and roller, and they attach to each front tie-down bracket.
Attach the assembly to the bracket so that the roller runs along the side of your camper to help guide the camper into place while you're mounting it. Because the centering guide lock assemblies are positioned at the sides of your camper, they too will help hold your camper in place by inhibiting side-to-side movement.
When you're not hauling your camper, you don't have to worry about bulky brackets sticking out of your truck, creating an eyesore or hazard. The front anchor plates remain permanently installed between your cab and truck bed, leaving only the discrete anchor points just behind your cab visible.
The rear tie-downs attach to the corners of your rear bumper. And with a quick quarter-turn, each rear anchor removes from the bracket to create a clean look.
HappiJac components are constructed of sturdy steel for a reliable and stable ride. The powder coated front tie-downs and chrome-plated rear anchors both resist rust and corrosion.

Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the HappiJac's custom tie-downs for your truck bed campers. This kit is going to provide you with low-profile attachment points to help keep your truck bed camper stable and secure. This is a custom fit, it's designed to work with many of your different Ford, Chevy, GMC, and Dodge trucks that we're manufactured between 1980 and 2016. So this is going to fit many different models.
I would encourage you to come to etrailer.com. We do have a vehicle fit guide. So you type in your year, your make and your model of your vehicle. And we will show you which products are going to work with your vehicle. So go ahead and make sure that these are going to work for you.
Otherwise, there might be another option that may work better, but we'll have all that information in our vehicle fit guide for you.So these are going to be a great option to add to your truck so that you can haul your truck bed camper. These are going to permanently mount to your truck's body. There's a big advantage of being mounted to the body versus up on the top of the bed rails, like most of your stake pocket mounting tie-downs. By being attached to the body, it's going to be better secured. It's not going to be as top heavy.
So it's going to give you a lot more security and it's not going to move around as much. These tie-downs do provide the attachment points at the front and the rear of your vehicles bed. The front brackets are going to fit in between the cab and the bed. So if you can see my bracket here. This black piece is actually going to be in between the cab and the bed.And then this piece here is actually going to be inside the bed.
So it's going to be squishing that back portion of obvious the front portion of your truck bed. So it's going to give it a nice stable connection point. And then these are your back brackets, your rear brackets. These are going to install at the ends of your rear bumper. And by having the four corners of attachment points, it's going to make sure that your load is centered. So you're not going to have as much movement in any direction. It's all going to be angled correctly so that you have a nice secure load. Even your front to back shifting is going to be minimized with the set up. So it's going to be really good for you. And it also has these centering guides that help prevent the side to side movement, and they also help as you're installing your camper. So it gives you a nice little guide there and prevents that side to side movement as well. Your front attachment points are very discreet. So now once you have them installed, only this portion here is going to be sticking out. So it's not going to be an eyesore or something that you could easily run into and cause problems like some of the other options out there. So very minimalistic, the rear portions can easily be disconnected simply by turning them and taking this piece off. So once you have those removed, all you're going to be left with is this knob. So it's going to be very discrete and you're not going to have to worry about it affecting the look of your vehicle at all. So a very nice option here. These are very durable steel components. So they're going to be very strong and reliable. They do have either a black powder coat on them or a chrome plating to help resist rust and corrosion. So they'll last you for a long long time. This kit does come with all the mounting hardware that you're going to need as well as instructions with pictures, to make sure that everything is going to be set up correctly. Now there's a few things that this kit does not come with, I would highly recommend, the first thing is going to be the stabilization bar. So this will mount on the front side of your truck bed with these brackets here. This is just going to provide an extra amount of stability for your brackets. Take some of that strain off the truck bed. Now you can buy this bar individually, but we also have this whole set here. So all the brackets, plus this bar, you can find it using the part number that you see on the screen there. So that's going to include all of this and just a little extra support for you, like I said. And then another thing that is not included in this kit is going to be your turnbuckles. So your turnbuckles are, what's going to attach between your attachment points and your camper. You twist them to tighten them down and make sure that everything is nice and secure. You may already have some at home from another set up, but if you don't, you will need something like that. We do have lots of options here at etrailer.com. HappiJac does have some that are obviously going to work with their components, but just about any turnbuckle should work. These are pretty universal mounting points. So just something to keep in mind there, this kit does come with a one-year warranty. So if you we're to have any problems within that first year, you could give us a call. We'd help you out with that. But I really don't think you're going to have any problems. This kit is made in the USA. So it's made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US and I think it's going to do a good job for you, give you that nice, secure, centered mounting for your in bed truck camper. So that's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
