When you’re hauling a camper, stability is everything. These custom frame-mounted tie-downs keep your camper solidly secured to your truck’s frame—the strongest part of the vehicle. By distributing the camper’s weight evenly and lowering the center of gravity, they prevent sway, reduce stress on your truck bed, and give you confident handling even in strong crosswinds or on rough roads.
These tie-downs bolt directly to pre-existing holes in the truck’s frame, so there’s little to no drilling and no need for modifications. The custom fit means the brackets mount tight to the frame with minimal loss of ground clearance. You get a clean install that looks right and keeps everything tucked up where it belongs.
Built for long hauls and tough conditions, the tie-down arms are made from rustproof aluminum while the receiver brackets use stainless steel. A high-impact powder coat finish adds another layer of protection from road salt and corrosion. That combination gives you strength where it counts and durability that holds up year after year.
When you’re not hauling, just remove the arms from the receiver brackets and they’re barely visible under the truck. The frame-mounted design keeps everything tucked away so your truck maintains its original look without bulky hardware sticking out.

Each tie-down arm includes two pin holes so you can adjust how far it extends to clear fenders or sidewalls. The attachment plate also has two anchor holes to help you find the best angle for your turnbuckles (sold separately). That flexibility makes it easier to set up solid contact points that hold your camper tight from multiple angles.

Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at these Torklift Talon custom rear camper tie-downs. These are going to provide attachment points at the rear of your truck bed to secure your truck camper's turnbuckles. You will also need the front tie-downs. Those are sold separately.
That will give you the four corners that you can tie down, make sure your camper's gonna be nice and secure. This setup is a custom fit. It is going to work for your 2015 through 2019 GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500. Keep in mind, this system is gonna be frame mounted. So, it is not going to work if you have an aftermarket hitch installed on your vehicle or if you have a board or step underneath your truck bed because those will oftentimes use the same mounting points that this system will use.
So, you will need to have a factory installed hitch and be free of any boards or steps underneath the truck bed in order for this system to be installed properly. But because it is frame mounted, it is going to sit right up against your truck's frame so you're not gonna lose any ground clearance. And it's also going to ensure excellent handling for you by securing your camper to the truck's base instead of up on the bed. It is going to better distribute the weight of the camper to help keep it from being too top heavy. So, this system is gonna work really well for you to secure your camper in place.
They do include very detailed instructions to walk you through the installation process step by step to make sure it's installed properly. They include all the hardware that you're gonna need to get it installed. And one of the really nice things about this system is that these receiver brackets are going to be the portion that's installed on your truck frame. So, rather than other systems that are going to have a tab that sticks out between your truck cab and your truck bed that kind of unsightly can get snagged on and just kind of takes away from the look of your truck, this system, when you have these inserts removed, you can have the cap on there and it's gonna be virtually undetectable. So, it's gonna sit there up against your frame.
You're really not gonna notice it until you need to hook up your camper. You can just simply remove the cap there and then slide in our insert. So, this is gonna have two different mounting points here. So, depending on the width of your camper, you can use either the wider portion or the smaller attachment there. So, just get that lined up. Whatever works best for you. And then you'll just slide that pin in there to create a solid connection between your receiver and your inserts. So, very simple to get those put in place and then get your turnbuckles put on. And then when you're done, very easily pull these out, put that cap back on and you're ready to go. So, these inserts are an aluminum alloy construction so they are very lightweight. Gonna be very easy to deal with. Throw under your seat, keep them stored when you're not needing them, that sort of thing, but they're also gonna be very corrosion resistant. Our receiver brackets are constructed of a durable steel. So, these are also going to be very hearty for you. They'll hold up really well. They both have this high-impact powder coat finish that's gonna add an extra layer of protection. So, even if we have these installed, we're going over road salts to other road conditions that typically are hard on metal, we're gonna have really a nice setup here that's gonna help resist rust and corrosion, hold up well for us for a long time to come. These are made here in the USA so you can trust they're made to the high-quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US. They also come with a lifetime warranty. So, if you we're to have any issues with this setup, you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com. I will encourage you to use our vehicle fit guide. You'll select your year, make and model of your vehicle. We'll let you know which products work best for you so that not only can you get the rear tie-downs, but it'll direct you to the proper front tie-downs for you as well. That completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
