Today we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson rope ratchet, part number 01805. It's 12 feet in length, and it uses half inch diameter rope, and it has a weight limit of 500 pounds. The Erickson rope ratchet is made in the United States using high quality materials, very easy to use. Here you have a very easy to get to release. Stick your thumb in there, release it. You also have some very nice hooks that are supplied with it, and, as you can see, they have a very wide gap, which makes hooking on to virtually anything possible. When you receive your rope ratchet, you're going to have 2 pieces.
You're going to have the ratchet portion of it, and your rope with a hook attached. To set it up, simply going to take the tag under your rope, feed it into the side opposite of the thumb release, and while holding your thumb release out, simply use your thumb to roll the interior ratchet. As you can see, the end of our rope comes out without a problem, very easy to set up, easy to use. Now that we've got it together, let's show you how it works. Today we're going to be strapping our kayak down to our trailer. Essentially what we'll do, just take our loose end here, attach to the rope, fish it through the item we want to hold, and connect it into our connection point.
Pull our slack back to us, here at our ratchet side. We'll go ahead, connect it to our connection point, and it's as simple as pulling the tag in to get the slack out. With any cam buckle or ratchet tight, it's a good idea to pull on the inward and the outward at the same time to get the maximum tension. As you can see, we've got that nice and tight. I'll just take our loose end here, secure it. Just like that, we've got our load secure, and we're ready to head down the road.
That will complete today's look at the Erickson rope ratchet, part number 01805. .
Great price and well made!
Good service and communication.
Best product
good product
Fast delivery! Haven't installed the parts yet but they look to be correct.
Great product use it alot
These work great, easy to connect and stay where they are put. I also like that if you need a longer one just buy the length of rope needed and change it. It is very easy to change.
Works better than other similar products that I have used in the past.
The past Ericksons I've used were excellent. The great thing is how happy I am with etrailer who always have fantastic service, supper fast processing and even faster shipping. Great packaging always ensures damage free arrival of my order. Almost always the lowest price too. Thanks again. Mike R.
Knot slips too easy.
This is a lot better than using rope to tie my kayak bow and stern to my vehicle. Saves time loading and unloading.
Really have not used this yet. Going to use it as a jet ski tie-off to a dock instead of using a rope. Saw someone doing this and it worked and made it a lot easier.
Good for general use to secure items in my pick-up
Purchased several sizes and use them and love them. Tough and durable!
This product works great. I bought a set for my husband and father.
Product was broken after 8 months being used (I use it just only once a week).
Work great! Use them once a week for over a year and they are still like brand new!
