Can Erickson 01805 Tie Down Be Used With Longer Rope
Published 01/23/2020 >
Question:
Is there a problem with replacing the rope? I am afraid if I pull the rope out I will not be able to it back in again.

Expert Reply:
You can indeed replace the 1/2 inch rope with a longer length if you wish, but keep in mind that doing so could change the weight bearing capacity of the tie down. A short length of 10 or 12 gauge wire could be taped to the end of the rope and used to fish the new rope around the pulley and pull it through.
