Hello, neighbor, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Rear View Safety adapter cord, and it's a five-pin male to RCA female. Now folks, this is a direct replacement from Rear View Safety. So again, you're gonna have a five-pin male to the RCA female. Pretty standard stuff going on here. And this connects the Rear View Safety camera to any monitor with that RCA output.
Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up, just a quick look together at this Rear View Safety adapter cord. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
Excellent adapter, worked perfectly. Used in my Thor Vegas 2018 to connect cameras directly to an external monitor bypassing the original multiplexor to radio as it only shows one camera at a time and interrupts any app that is being used like Google Maps every time you use turn signals to change lanes. Purchased three of these and wired each camera to an external monitor that can show all three cameras at the same time and/or individually.
Fortunately for me etrailer had the part that I spent months trying to find and it worked/works perfectly. They are a great resource for hard to find RV parts
It's been a couple of years since getting this, and it works well. I have the RCA contacts well-taped, and the setup is only used a couple of weeks per year, but it converted a useless camera cable into one that I could use with my backup camera.
Worked as expected
