Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a look at the Taylor Made Dock Post Bumper. This is kind of a specialized design to help protect your dock post from being an obstacle for any of your boats and also to help protect it from boats as well. It's kind of a twofold thing, keeps everybody safe and keeps anything from causing any damage, so you don't have to worry about any collisions with your boat come crashing into that post and causing any damage. It is made out of a durable marine grade vinyl so it's going to last for a long time. You can see it has some give to it.
It's kind of a two walled design there. It's got a little cushion to it and it allows for that post to just slide up the middle. This works for one and a half inch diameter dock pipes.The bumper itself measures about 15 and a half inches long, or excuse me, about 15 inches long. And then it's about seven inches in diameter, maybe more like six and a half inches in diameter. You can see there.
And then again for that inner diameter for our post works with actually about two half inches, maybe a two and a quarter. You can see that. It does come in this black onyx color. It does let you inflate this so you can fill it up with air and give it a little bit more structure, a little bit more bounce to it. It is made in the USA.
To inflate that up at the top, just need a needle valve to use, a bike pump or something like that, to air it up. All in all pretty straight forward bumper to keep everything safe. If you want to attach it with some cords or maybe some hardware, there are two spots on either side to lash it down and mount it in place. But that's about all there is to it for our look at the Taylor Made Dock Post Bumper.I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is the right piece for you.
