Question:

Im looking for the Taylor Made dock post bumper Part 36945652 I have 2 inch metal dock posts. I currently have a couple of Taylor Made 2inch bumpers that look just like the ones in your store. My current bumpers will accept a piece of 2inch PVC pipe that fits over the dock post and through the bumper Top opening of the bumper Note the post bumpers with PVC in the picture. The outer diameter of the PVC is 2-3/8 inch. Will this PVC fit into the bumpers you sell? If so, I will be looking at 3 blue bumpers. Feel free to call me if needed. 734.777.1072 Thanks, Mike

Hey Michael,

The details and photo you attached were really helpful. The Taylor Made black dock post bumper # 36945652 is best fit for your 2-3/8" PVC pipe.

Unfortunately, we do not have that larger size bumper available in blue. The blue versions are only offered for some of the 1 1/2" post.

What style of boat are you protecting at the dock?

15' Starcraft Aluminum deep V fishing boat. On my side of the dock, the 2" PVC will insert into the bumper (Like the pic) but stick up approx. 12" and caped. This gives added protection when hit with incoming waves. We currently use this style bumper on the other side of the dock. We have 2" dock poles, so the bumper fits a bit loose. The short piece of 2" PVC (OD = 2.375") secures it nicely from waves lifting it up and off. Are dock sides are aluminum, so I don't secure them with screws. What colors do you have in the 2.375" size?

@MichaelC thanks for the additional details , Your setup makes perfect sense, especially with the capped PVC helping keep the bumper from lifting. Apologies but the only available color is black for the Taylor Made Post bumper that fits over 2-3/8" pipes.
