Using a Boone Outdoor Hardware Dock for your Thule or Yakima bike rack designed for 2" trailer hitches? This 5/8" diameter pin is designed to support the 5/8" hole on one side of the carrier shank, and is narrow on the other side to accommodate the bulit-in anti-rattle device.
Well constructed and easy installation. It saved my lots of space in the garage and keeps all my hitch related equipment (multipurpose ball mount, scooter/cargo carrier, bike platform carrier, tie down straps, etc.) organized.
Good design. I am using it to hold a bike rack and 2 bikes on the rack. Easy to get bikes on and off of while providing storage under the rack.
Has been perfect for storing my bicycle carrier (with bicycles), hitches and accessories.
I have been looking for a hitch rack storage solution for a long time. Storing these items is always very cumbersome and taking them apart after every use is just not possible for me. I saw this on the etrailer website and knew it was what I had been looking for. It’s design, assembly and use is second to none. I bought a Thule 9031XT Vertex Swing Bike Rack a couple of years ago for my Rav4. Problem was when I took it off my vehicle I had to put it on the ground which did not stand upright and was very heavy. Then I stumbled across the solution of acquiring this pin fabricated from Boone Outdoor. So I bought both the Dock Hitch Storage Rack and this pin which is specifically modified to fit and protect the mounting threads on my Thule. Etrailer as always had this to me in no time and man was I impressed with the quality. Not only could this steel pin hold the weight of my bike rack, but it also allowed me to put my 3 adult bikes on the rack and use the Thule locking system to store the bikes during off season! I inspected the pin this spring to see if the pin was bent or warped and was just as good as new! This is a must have if you wish keep that expensive and heavy bike rack from becoming a toe-kick!

Been perfect for hanging my Thule bike rack out of the way! The pin allows for use with those rack that have the threaded bolt already welded in.
