Reese 60x24 Hitch Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - 500 lbs Capacity - Glossy Black
My 9 year old and I were able to assemble and install this in about an hour. The anti rattle bolt recommended in the video, and the lights, were great additions and I definitely recommend them too. Handled a 900 mile round trip around the northeast and had plenty of room to bring Xmas presents home in the Curt waterproof cargo bag.
This is a solid Cargo carrier. I was originally looking for a rooftop carrier but I came to realize that a cargo carrier is a far superior option for increased weight and size, ease of access, stability and aerodynamic. Although this one doesn't fold up, there is still adequate space to access the rear hatch on my SUV.

20x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs
I currently use this on my Xterra. It's sturdy, lots of places to hook tie-down straps and bungies. There's plenty of room to open the rear door with this in the down position (as long as I don't have tall items in the carrier). Handled cross-country trips without any issue. And it conveniently folds up out of the way when not in use.
It was very hard to figure out what kind of cargo carrier would be the best for my needs, until I got on your website. Your videos are very informative to help with making the decision of which cargo carrier was best. It was very easy to put together, and very strong (I put my husband in it)this is perfect for our vacation transportation.

Curt 60x24 Hitch Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - 500 lbs Capacity - Matte Black
Great cargo rack! Well made and strong. We modified ours to carry our ebikes on top of our generator and cooler. We've been from coast to coast with no problems.
Used it a hand full of times for camping with two different SUVs and its been great. Once over 2000 miles round trip. With the waterproof bag you can hold more gear since it goes above the side rails. Just be careful if your driveway slopes down you’ll lightly scrape the ground when backing out. And if you have a smaller suv or car make sure you center the heaviest items or it will feel it pulling back and forth on the freeway.

17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
Good product - but the instructions are not so clear. You need to make sure the bottom rack is installed in a way that the bolts to the center rack fit. I had to do a lot of screwing and unscrewing to make it fit right. Definitley need a socket set and adjustible wrench.
All in all a good cargo carrier. I'm happy that every single fastener used a nylon lock nut. I'm using the 1 1/4" hitch. The one thing If I was using a 2", I'd be disappointed by the plastic receiver adapter. Maybe it works fine, but I'd have my doubts. The car is a Chevy Bolt EV, using the beefy and highly recommended Draw-Tite hitch. Don't bother with any other hitch, they bend or are insane to install. My only issue is that, unsurprisingly, it rides low, and scrapes when I leave my driveway, and it's not even that bad a driveway. One nice thing with the electric is that there's no hot exhaust to melt your cargo! The range / fuel economy hit is almost certainly better than a roof box, and it's way more accessible.

19x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Aluminum - Folding - 500 lbs
I use this on my 2022 F250, when hauling my cab over. I was able to remove the folding part and attach it straight to my hitch to get it closer to the back of the truck. It’s light weight, decently sturdy, and easy to assemble.
This thing was not fun to put together. At all. But I got fair warning about it from the reviews. I suggest a 17mm socket bit and a drill. Plan on taking it apart a couple times so don't cinch it down tight at first. Once it is put together it's a solid unit. It'll be nice for our camping trips. The light bulky stuff that took up precious real estate can now ride outside.

Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket - 47" Long x 35" Wide - 165 lbs
We have used the rack several times and it looks and works great on the factory crossbars on our Bronco Sport. We used it with a luggage bag and it doesn’t make any noise and installs easily. I remove it when we are not using it and store it in the garage so it stays looking new. Great value. Really appreciated the installation videos and customer service from etrailer.com!
Fits the Audi Q5 perfectly and with a cargo bag that we purchased, it was as perfect for our trip with 2 other friends. It gave us a lot of free space in the trunk for backpacks and items we needed for quick access.

Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 41-1/2" Long x 37" Wide x 4" Deep - 150 lbs
I recently purchased Curt Roof Rack and Curt Roof Cargo Basket from Etrailer for my 2024 Toyota 4Runner TRD Sport and the product was excellent, easy to install and Etrailer rep Mr. Mike B having great experiences and very helpful with the products. Thank you!
The reason I bought this basket is due to gas prices. I have a 4X4 suburban I use for camping and hunting but it takes a small loan to fill up the tank. Actually this basket cost less than it does to fill it up. So my thought was if i can get all my gear on my daily driver then i could save some money and maybe even sale the burb. So i gave it a shot last weekend. The rack was easy to put together. I had it out of the box and on the roof in under 30 minutes. As you can see in the pic, i have a rather large ice chest, chain saw, 6 man tent, gas stove and my chair on the roof. My camping destination was about 3 hours away. First was a hour of highway driving at speeds around 70. No issues there. Then 2 hours of windy back roads. No issues there either. The basket made it possible for me and my two kids to load up in the car and head to the hills for three days. The plus for me was it only takes 50$ to fill up the car. :-) I had the max weight in this basket with no issues. I'm very happy with this basket.

Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 Rooftop Cargo Box - 14 cu ft - Black
I've taken one 1500 mile trip so far with the Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 mounted on my RAV4. I found the box to be quiet and not to have much impact on gas mileage. I lost maybe 1 mpg with it mounted to my flush mounted Whisperbars. I drove through some very heavy rain and had a minimal amount of water inside under a thin rubber mat I had placed on the bottom of the box; none on my luggage got wet. This box works great to give me more carrying capacity when traveling with my two crated Dobermans.
Perfect fit on my 2014 Jetta Sportwagen. Lets me accomodate my lighter weight camping gear and leave the heavier stuff in the car. Very secure and aerodynamic and had very little impact on my mileage. My only issue was I could never find the serial number on my rocketbox.

Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp - 77" Long - 500 lbs
Don't recommend this product for anyone wanting to transport a bike over 250lbs. It's two separate pieces bolted together, and after setup I didn't feel confident in its ability to hold my Honda ct110 just by the look of it. The bike's wet weight is 203lbs, and when I mounted my bike to this unit it didn't feel sturdy at all. The photos I included show where the four bolts easily started to concave, I didn't feel like I was over tightening. So, beware of this if you do get this product. After I knew this wasn't the product for me I did try contacting their customer service to see what they could do, but didn't hear back from them at all. So without any hope for a resolution, this ended up being donated to the local goodwill. Hope this helps others think twice about purchasing.
I can't say I'm entirely happy with my purchase. The instructions were more confusing than helpful. Note in "instruction.jpg" photo of STEP 1 that the text says to put the 8 small bolts in from the inside first, but the drawing clearly shows them as going in from the outside. The last step says to place the ramp onto the receiver as shown.... glad I didn't throw away the box because there is no drawing that shows ramp installation. Actually, the photo on the box was more helpful than any of the instructions. Also, I need to make a trip to the hardware store to buy longer medium bolts because the ones that came with the carrier were not long enough to fully engage the self locking feature of the nylon lock nuts. At a minimum a couple of threads should protrude beyond the nylon. See photo "nut.jpg". The bolt threads don't reach the end of the nylon, so the self locking feature is not fully engaged. I did tighten the nut, but that was as far as it would go. I think once I get back from the hardware store with the new medium bolts and after I reverse the 8 small bolts (I followed the drawing and not the text of the instructions), I'll be OK with the carrier.

24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Tilting - Folding - 500 lbs
I love this unit! I’m an avid Camper and Jeeper. My rig has big tires including the spare that requires additional clearance. In addition to hauling my gear, I had concerns about ground clearance off roading and stability. This unit exceeded my expectations on every point! I can even open the tailgate with the unit on and it still has enough clearance to fold up when not loaded. In addition to a great product, the order was confirmed and shipped same day and on my doorstep two days later. It was pretty easy to put together but having a second person to help and fit it on the first time is helpful. Great product!
Rack is very well made and large for the price! Love the multiple angles it supports.

Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket - Steel - 44" Long x 39" Wide
Super professional costumer service I’m so excited to installing this Yakima roof rack for my daughters cross track this weekend I’m flying to Utah to put it on! Thank you so much!
Well done Yakima and etrailer. Great product and great service. The product is well made (in Taiwan....not China) and the parts and instruction video made it relatively" easy to install. Two people helps to install it more readily. The wind diffuser in the front greatly reduces wind noise. All in all very happy and glad I bought through etrailer. Service was excellent and delivery prompt.

32x48 Reese Solo Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 400 lbs
Hitch works well to transport Lectric trike on back of Class C motorhome. Added magnetic hauling lights plugged into trailer towing plug to corners for additional safety.
Purchased this to carry an e-trike on the front of my truck. It was the only one I could find that would accommodate the 30" width of the trikes rear wheels.
Set up: Flint Hill Goods 19" x 53" Cargo Carrier on a 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey everybody. Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods hitch-mounted steel cargo carrier on our 2022 Mazda CX-9. Now, our carrier here today is going to be made of powder coated steel, which just means that the steel is going to be nice and durable. While the powder coating helps it resist a lot of that corrosion and usually steel is a little bit heavier but our basket only comes in at 25 pounds a day, which is just as much weighs as much as some of our aluminum cargo carriers. So if you wanted to store this in your garage off of your vehicle I don't think it would be any trouble compared to some of those aluminum cargo carriers about the same weight of just kind of mounting it up on the wall since it doesn't weigh as much anymore.
Set up: Flint Hill Goods 22" x 49" Hitch Mounted Aluminum Cargo Carrier on a 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey, everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods Hitch Mounted Aluminum Cargo Carrier on our 2022 Mazda CX-9. Now, our basket is going to be made of aluminum, which means it's going to be very lightweight and corrosion resistant, pretty important for driving through the elements. It is only going to weigh 23 pounds, so if you want to store this in your garage off of your vehicle, it is fairly lightweight and being able to just like hang it from a point on your wall perhaps. Now, if you have to keep it on your vehicle though, what kind of dimensions is it going to add to it Well, we're gonna go and take our tape measure, put it on our bumper, and measure the furthest point out, seeing that we're only adding on about 25 1/2 inches to the back of our vehicle. We did look this up earlier, and you probably do have about 16 to 17 inches of space to stack up on your items before you start to interfere with your full hatch clearance.
Set up: 22x60 Flint Hill Goods Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches on a 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey, everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods aluminum hitch mounted cargo carrier on our 2022 Mazda CX-9. Our cargo carrier is going to be made of aluminum which means it's gonna be very lightweight and very corrosion resistant which is important while we're driving through the elements with it on our CX-9. Now, if you wanted to store off of your vehicle because it's so lightweight, that would not be an issue. If you just wanted to simply hang it from the wall or something, it only weighs 18 pounds. Now, while it's on your vehicle, it is going to add some dimensions onto it.
Flint Hill Goods 22" x 49" Cargo Carrier Fit Check on a 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey everybody. Cooper here from etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods aluminum hitch-mounted cargo basket on our 2022 Mazda CX-9. Very important for when we're driving through the elements, making sure that no damage comes to our basket. So if we are wanting to store this off of our vehicle, since it is kind of on the lighter side, there would be no issue kind of taking it off, lifting it up, and hanging it on in our garage.
Setting up the Thule Arcos Enclosed Cargo Carrier on your 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we have the Thule Arcos hitch-mounted cargo box. Set up: Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket on a 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima SkinnyWarrior on our 2022 Mazda CX-9. Now the SkinnyWarrior is a perfect opportunity to carry around maybe some of those larger items like skis or snowboards, or if you're picking up some dirtier items like mulch or fertilizer and you don't wanna keep that inside your car and potentially have it get dirty. Our basket is going to be made out of a durable steel construction, just meaning that any of the points here on the basket are gonna make good tie down points and we don't have to worry about any of it bending like we would if it was aluminum. That being said, we do have a black powder coat finish just to help the steel be very corrosion resistant. But if there does end up being any scratches or scuffs in any areas, that those areas are going to become pretty prone to that corrosion.
Mount: Yakima GrandTour Premium Rooftop Cargo Box on a 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey everyone, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima Grand Tour 18 on our 2022 Mazda CX9. Now this is a perfect rooftop cargo box for if you wanna carry around some of those longer items maybe like skis and snowboards, or if you have the whole entire family loaded up in the CX9 and you need some additional storage space for some of that luggage, this is going to be a great option for that too. Our box is going to be made out of an ABS plastic which just means it is a little more durable as you can imagine, driving through all the elements maybe finding it in rain or hail or rocks sticking up from the highway hitting, it just means it's going to stay durable and rugged throughout all that. That being said, it does have a glossy black finish to it and glossy black finishes just really have a prone to smudges and scratches. So while the material itself is pretty durable, it might not keep that clean nice look forever.
How to Install: Flint Hill Goods Roof Cargo Basket on your 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey, everybody. Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods rooftop cargo basket on our 2022 Mazda CX-9. Now, rooftop baskets like this have a couple of different uses. If you have your car full of people and need some additional storage for luggage and you can't fit it inside your vehicle, perfect opportunity would be to take it on top of your vehicle. Or maybe you're picking up some messy items from the hardware store like mulch or maybe fertilizer and you don't want them to break open in your car and get it all dirty.
How the Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket Fits on your 2022 Mazda CX-9
Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket on our 2022 Mazda CX9. Now, a rooftop cargo basket like this is going to have a perfect opportunity to maybe carry around some of those larger items like skis or snowboards or some of those messier items, like mulch or fertilizer that you don't wanna necessarily dirty up the inside of your car. This one especially does have some tall walls, so I would say stuff like maybe luggage would be a little more secure in here, knowing that it is kind of sitting further down, recessed into the basket. Our basket is going to take up a majority of our 50-inch crossbar spread, but I think that's more than perfectly acceptable for something like this. Usually the purpose of it is to max out the available space on top of your roof to carry around some additional items.
