The Thule Passage Trunk Bike Rake for 2 bikes is a good product. I used it to transport my mountain e-bike. I choose this particular unit because it can handle the weight 2 of bikes (non-e-bikes) and the weight of my e-bike is equivalent to weight of 2 bikes. Note: Must readjust the straps after mounting the bike to the rake.

Way too light duty for what is advertised. It seemed to be made out of 1/2 inch electrical conduit. I would never put three bikes on that rack. I only had two bikes on the rack. While on trip through Idaho the wind was so strong that one of the bikes partially blew off the rack. We traveled 1,800 miles and upon arriving home I actually sawed the bike rack up and threw it away so that no one else would use it and cause an accident. I've already found a different brand that is HEAVY DUTY and I will stick with that brand.

This is definitely more of a 2 bike carrier vs 3 bikes. I had to take the front wheels off two bikes to get three bikes on this carrier. Also, it rubbed the paint off on the trunk of my Subaru legacy.

So far really great! I love the stability my bike has on the rack, fit for my 2021 Honda Civic, and the quality of the material engineered into the design to prevent damage to the cars paint/parts.

Works great even using an electric bike like my Aventon Soltera.

Exactly as advertised, transported 2 Trek bikes on on the back of my 2016 Toyota Avalon without issue - travelling from Boston MA to Green Bay WI. Outstanding price buying this item as open-box. etrailer's website is the best I could find on the web with name brand racks, automated compatibility vehicle check, and they they shipped overnight.

This rack fits well on our 2015 Toyota RAV4. There are six attachment points, each with a coated hook on the end to fit around the trunk lid. Once mounted and tightened, the rack is comfortably stable and solid. Bikes are easy to mount as well, with just a few straps. Note that a BMX bike, due to its small geometry, will not fit. Also of note, the hooks on the ends of the two straps which lead out in the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions will chafe the car's paint. I wrapped those in electrical tape in order to minimize the effect. Overall, a good choice for a trunk rack.

Good to great product. Is easy to secure to the back of my 2012 Mazda 5 station wagon. Mounting 3 adult sized bikes took some practice to navigate through hinged braces especially with a bike that had an unconventional frame. Requires some bungee cord traction to keep front wheels from flailing around but that is probably an issue with all bike racks?

Works great! We keep it set up to one position because it's used on my car only. I'm glad we bought the lock feature because we can just leave the rack on at the trail site. This was a great purchase. I'm impressed that you follow up on your product. I recall your staff was quite helpful in making sure I purchased the correct item for my car and set it up correctly. No recent pictures of the carrier but I do have one of myself as "happy camper" on the Fox River Trail which was doable because of the carrier purchase!!

I am very pleased with this hitch! Fit my bikes very nicely. Easy to assemble. Rack looks great on my Mazda cx-30. Customer service is very responsive.

A very good, inexpensive, lightweight bike rack. Folds nicely and doesn't interfere with the hatch opening on our 2023 XC40. I wouldn't consider this a heavy duty rack, more suitable for short trips to the riding trails. Good for urban living, as opposed to 4 wheeling out to a mountain destination. Several plastic components. Two things I dislike is 1) the hitch pin lock is cheesy plastic, and because of the threading bolt on the rack's hitch, you can't use a sturdier 5/8" locking pin. and 2) the cotter pins should have a small security cable.

It was supposed to come with 4 small straps and 6 large straps. However, there were only 3 small straps in the package, and the package was very much intact when we received it. The rack fits well in our 2018 Nissan Pathfinder SV. Although, it was so difficult to make 1 adult road bike and 2 kids road bikes to fit. It more comfortably fits 2 bikes to be honest with you. And our bikes are thin and light.

I can't say enough good things about this bike rack.I was going to go with a cheaper model but I'm glad I spent the extra money for this Saris.The rack installs and comes off the hitch quickly.The bikes also are easy to load and unload.This thing is great.The first one got ruined by the carrier and etrailer sent me out a new one immediately.Top notch service.

Thanks to etrailer’s excellent information, I managed to find a bike rack that would carry 2 e-bikes and work with my existing class I 1-1/4 in receiver. I had the added challenge that I carry the bikes on a car that I tow behind my RV, so it needed to be rated for a tow vehicle. The Saris Superclamp EX met all my criteria, and for a reasonable price. I was also happy to find that it’s made in the USA. Install was fairly easy, couple of minor hiccup’s as I figured out the drawings, which, to be honest, weren’t entirely clear. But it’s pretty intuitive, so just added an extra minute or two, and probably wouldn’t phase the more mechanically minded. I’m a somewhat out of shape 50’s female, and I don’t have any trouble moving the rack around, it’s a nice weight and fairly compact when collapsed. It’s very easy to access the hatch when the bikes are not mounted. Haven’t tried it with bikes on yet. Once installed, it is rock solid. Loading my 45ish lb bike (with battery removed) is doable. In a perfect world it would have a ramp, but given my other criteria were met, I’m happy to do without the ramp. The rack seems like it holds the bike firmly during transport so overall, I’m extremely happy with my purchase. Also, there wasn’t a ton of unnecessary packaging to get rid of, but things were well protected in shipment. Customer service from etrailer is stellar as well, they helped quickly with a minor issue. I bought this carrier for a 2014 Nissan Maxima. The price, recycled plastic and design all appealed to me. I gave it only 3 stars because I learned - too late for my first ride - that the button on the buckle that the cradle straps pass through does not have enough clearance to release the straps. The button makes contact with the frame of the cradle without releasing the straps. On the video there is much more clearance to depress the button than on my unit. When I got home I used a flat head screwdriver inserted into the back of the buckle to pry up the buckle so the strap could slide. Not ideal but better than having the carrier take my bike hostage.

Happy with this product. Super fast delivery. The carrier fit my 2017 VW Altrack and was easy to install. My bike stayed secure through an 11 hour drive There is no way to lock the bike on the carrier so you will need to remove it if you stay at a hotel or camp ground overnight. It’s very easy to remove and reinstall on the carrier. I did need to wrap one of the pedals to keep it from scratching my car. The pedal could also be removed but I found it easier to add protective padding. I definitely will use this carrier again, for local trails and for further trips.

I like it a lot! I think it has solved my issue with having in easy, yet stable way to haul my bike on my 2012 Honda accord coupe. It's only been one day, so I can't speak about the durability. But it's definitely use a friendly and sturdy.

I looked at a LOT of bike racks, but when I saw the product video for this Hollywood rack and it was holding the bikes rock solid, no loose bouncing anywhere, I decided to try it and I haven't been disappointed yet. It is solid in the mount, it holds the bikes securely and the locking bars are a good deterrent to anyone wanting a quick steal. I don't leave mine on the car all the time, but so far in the weather here in Florida, it's holding up nicely. My husband and I are in our 60's and had no problem putting this together as per instructions. It's a good solid rack, no wobble even with my big 35 pound 29'er. It easily clears our steep curb on the back of our Subaru Outback. The hatch clears the bike and there's plenty of room to move between the car and bike in that tilt position. We loaded our car for vacation with the bike on the rack. It's a bonus to be able to leave it all on the car in our garage. We also bought the Drawtite 2" hitch from etrailer.com. We're very happy with this setup!

I've had no issues with this bike rack. My bike weighs approximately. 35 lbs and I've taken it several 300 - 400 mile journeys using this bike rack. This bike rack is very easy to assemble, install / remove from the car, and secure the bike for travel.

Truly a great product! The bike rack is a huge improvement over the one it replaces. I had lost confidence in it, as it was always loose and sloppy when in use for long distances. The materials are high-quality, with very dense plastic arms, a metal main tube, and strapping that can be pulled quite tight. Overall a very solid piece of equipment. Each bike has three points of attachment, which keeps them very stable. The ratchet mechanism is much easier to manipulate when compared to web straps, which always seem to work loose, but are difficult to work with when removing a bike. The feet, which get placed on the glass and in the license plate well on my Subaru, are flexible and substantial. When placed according to the online fitment guide, I can still use my backup camera, at least when no bikes are on. I can also drop the arms easily when not carry bikes, and storage off of the car will be very easy. For my wife's step-through frame, I acquired the Saris Bike Beam, which makes placement on the arms very easy, and seems to be very stable. These products are clearly well engineered and manufactured. Great customer service and fast shipping from Etrailer combine for a great purchasing experience. I highly recommend this item!

Great product so far! Easy to install and adjust. A little tricky to load 2 large handlebar mountain bikes and a third smaller bike, but we just turned them sideways with the front wheels taken off. We had racks on bikes which were probably the impediment. We got them on though! Love how it folds up easy for quick storage. Works great on 2014 Subaru Outback.

This is overall a great hitch rack. Its well made yet not too heavy. Its easy to mount on the receiver and has its own built in hitch pin, and hitch lock system. It is easy to tilt, making your vehicle’s hatch door accessible. My bike is very secure on the rack (it also has a built in cable lock. The only negative I can say is you cannot fold the rack arms down with the bike’s up tube tie stabilizer strap attached (you have to take it off & store separately, or attach it to one of the main bike crossbar tie down straps.

I love this bike rack! It's got the locks to secure the bikes and the rack. Most of all, when I drive on the highway, the bikes don't move at all. I feel the bikes are very secured on the rack.

I think the Saris rack holds my bike securely. I just put the rack on for the first time; it took me a while, but I think it will be very simple the next time. The rack is actually made for a bicycle with a top frame tube that is parallel to the ground. My bike has a slight angle, but the rack works very well on the 2024 Mini Cooper. Stacey, with etrailer, was incredible supportive and knowledgeable.

Got this rack to carry a bike on a car where it has to clear a trunklid spoiler. That it does. Good product. Not perfect, but good. Does rest rubber feet on painted surfaces, so I keep a clean microfiber towel handy to wipe the feet before each use so they don't scratch up the car's paint. Quick and easy to use. Looks bulky but it's all lightweight plastic. Seems plenty sturdy enough for the job, although time will tell how long that remains true. Finally, a small quibble: The caps at each end of the fat tube are supposed to store the excess lengths of strapping, but the friction-fit caps promptly fall out so the straps just dangle. But there's no real harm done by that; it's merely a bit unsightly. On the whole, this device does the job.
