Does what it says. Not much you can say about an adapter. It sticks out too far, but again, it is to be expected. Quality seems good.

The Curt C45785 1.25 inch to 2 inch hitch adapter seems well-constructed, but does NOT fit the current SPA Volvo OEM 1.25 inch automatic retractable hitch receptacle (mine is on a 2020 V60 Cross country). The lock pin hole doesn't go back far enough to accommodate the pin -- see photo.

The quality of the hitch adapter looks great and very stout.

I purchase this to use with a Thule bike rack. The Thule rack requires a 2-in receiver so this should have worked. However it's so shaky and loose that I didn't feel comfortable driving it down the street. I should have returned it but I went back to using another vehicle I have with a 2-in receiver.

Hitch pin hole was too far up the shaft and couldn't lock into the receiver. Had to return.

Perfect fit to extend the hitch to allow my bike rack to clear the back bumper. Great quality as well.

This hitch extension was exactly what I needed. New hitch on the Toyota Avalon has the receiver box a little too far under the bumper to fit my bike carrier. The diagonal support on the carrier didn't allow hitch pins to align without modifying (cutting) bumper. This extension was a simple yet effective solution to moving the carrier away from rear of vehicle. (Photos were taken without hitch pin in place) The item was in stock and shipped rapidly. I recently had a hitch installed on my car. Since the cargo carrier that I have was used previously without an adapter, I assumed that I didn't need one. Now trying to locate one was more of an effort than locating a hitch. The local auto parts stores of national brands don't keep them in stock. One store made an inquiry but didn't give me much hope. Now I can make a rode trip in confidence that the carrier will be secure as I head down the interstate.

I installed a hide away hitch on my son's Mustang (College kid, cramping his style), Wayne really helped me with this 10 inch extender. The part came the next day. Excellent part and excellent service.
