Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Great product, better than expected. Very well made and very solid. The product is made in Canada. NOTE: The only downside is that it does not have the tilt down feature to lower your bikes if you are looking for that.
I was sent additional mounting materials that don't correspond with my hitch or my bike rack. See the photo below. Are these materials for my Swagman STC2 Bike Rack Item #S64670?

Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount
Easy to assemble and attach to my 2015 Subaru Forester. I have been very pleased with the purchase. The bikes are fairly easy to load, although I have only had two bikes on at once (adult and teen-sized mountain bikes). Rack is secure when attached to car, as are the bikes to the rack. Longest car trip has been 3.5 hrs...no problems.
Great service and the product has been perfect ...easy to set up and allows me to get bikes to tri events and my family's bikes to trails.

Swagman Chinook Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Things I wanted in a platform bike rack: -Rack that could accommodate at least a 49" wheel base -At least 35 lbs per bike capacity, but preferably 45 lbs -A Rack that could fold up and out of the way without hitting the bumper or interfering with the rear hatch opening. -A rack that would have enough clearance to still open the hatch with the bikes mounted and tilted away. -My bike (that I was concerned about fitting): 2017 Trek Fuel EX 7 29er, size XXL. This rack hit all of those requirements! I was a bit hesitant because there was no confirmed fitment for the 2014+ Forester (beyond some measurements), but I ordered it anyway. I'm happy to report that the rack fits perfectly. I attached pictures that show that there is plenty of clearance when the bike is mounted, bike is mounted and tilted away (to open the hatch), and when the rack is folded up (to clear bumper and open the rear hatch). Rack itself: -Assembly and installation was fairly easy. The directions could be somewhat confusing, but read carefully and pay attention and it will be easy. -The cam locks that are used to tilt/fold the rack and to release the vertical arm are much more convenient than having to remove and re-insert a pin. --there is some up and down play from the tilt/fold cam lock, but it actually does not cause excess movement when the bikes are mounted and the car is moving, hitting bumps, turning, etc. -Very minimal movement from the rack while in motion. -The padding on the hooks is fairly hard, so I did buy some pipe insulation to protect the top tube on my bikes. -The rack hooks lock and there is a lock for the hitch pin. No cables necessary! -The wheel trays are very sturdy and easy to adjust. -The price was very reasonable, especially considering that locks are included. Regarding etrailer.com -awesome database of information AND the best prices that I could find. -the support team is also very responsive and helpful. I'm very happy with my hitch rack so far, and I'm very happy to have ditched my roof bike carriers!
It fits nicely on our 2017 Forester. Easy to install and feels sturdy. I had a 4 bike Saris but it was just so big and awkward to deal with. The Swagman doesn't stick out so far & it folds easily out of the way so we can get into the rear hatch.

Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Gunmetal Gray
Rack arrived today. I will not lie, it is heavy and therefore cumbersome to assemble. Despite that, I was able to assemble and install it in just under one hour. I did this on my own, another person would have cut this time in half. The rack checks all the boxes of wants and needs. That same weight noted before makes it rock solid. The anti-rattle feature to tighten the hitch is wonderful. Handle/pedal to change from upright position to bike holding rack to tilt away from my Subaru 2010 Forester was incredibly simple and smooth. I was all set to buy the Thule T2 Pro XT 2 and a friend told me about this Kuat NV 2.0. I am so happy. I knew it was more expensive, but free shipping and price was discounted at checkout when I purchased it from etrailer.com. Great surprise. This rack is well thought out, has superb quality features, and I am convinced that I made the best choice. All things aside, it also really looks nice.
Fantastic bike rack. Switch it between a Honda Ridgeline and a Subaru Outback Wilderness and it works perfectly. Accidentally lost the locking pin that secures the rack to the trailer hitch and when I inquired with Kurt about ordering a replacement lock keyed to match the locking cables on the rack and the Kuat rep sent one to me for free. (I removed the rack and left the lock sitting on my car bumper. Later that day I drove off and lost the lock on the highway).

Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
It fits and works! That's more than you can say about many things, nowadays.
Installs easily to the Saris Bones 2 trunk mounted rack and fits well under hatch door of 2016 Subaru Forester. Two concealed steel cables under durable fabric sleeve. Another good recommendation on ertrailer site when purchasing the bike rack.

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Put this together in about 30 min and looooooooove how easy it is to load 4 bikes!! Two adult bikes(one road) two kids! Incredibly sturdy while driving along the winding mountain roads! If the $1000 racks are easier/better I'd like to know just how much to justify the price!! Super happy with this purchase and the staff at etrailer!
Good rack. Although, it was much heavier then I thought. I was looking for something to put on my wife's car 2-3 times a week, so I can ride home. It's a bit much for daily use, but is very sturdy and great for the long haul.

Saris Freedom Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Good product for the $. Easy set up..works well and as advertised.
Seems like a good rack for the price, especially when compared to others with the same weight rating. It was very easy to assemble, just a few bolts and that's it. I put two 62lb e-bikes on it (Ride1Up Turris) and it has minimal wobble and movement as expected. The straps that come on the center cradles were too short to go around our bike's frame and battery so I had to purchase a separate set of long straps from Saris for an additional $20. So be aware if you have an e-bike with a fat frame where you plan to use the cradle on, you might have to spend another $20 on a pair of long straps. While I waited for the straps I just used a velcro-strap and it worked fine. So far I am content with this rack overall and hope it lasts many years.. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I had to purchase additional straps to make it work.
2017 Subaru Forester Thule Hitching Post Pro Bike Rack for 4 Bikes: Complete Installation
Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, on our 2017 Subaru Forester, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro Four bike rack. So one of the big questions we get asked all the time in regards to hitch-mounted bike racks, is if you're still going to be able to have full access to the back of your Forester. Well, this one does fold down out of the way, and allows us to do that. Again, we come here to this pin, pull it out, and we're able to fold this down. It goes down quite a bit, so we're going to have more than enough space to get any of our gear in and out of the back of our Subaru. So right away, one of the first things I noticed once I put our bike on the rack, is where it's going to sit.
Installing the Thule Helium Bike Rack for 2 Bikes on your 2017 Subaru Forester
Ryan: Hey everybody. Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2017 Subaru Forester, we are going to be taking a look at the Thule Helium Platform style bike rack. So the rack that we have here today can hold up to a total of two bikes, but there is also a one bike version available as well. So, a lot of these platform style racks can be loaded up with bikes and folded downward to gain access to your hatch and that is the case with this one as well. The only difference being is it is going to be much more manageable.
Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Subaru Forester
Today on our 2017 Subaru Forester we're doing a test fit of the Thule T2 Pro XTB platform-style 4-bike rack. That part number is TH9034XT-9036XT. Now we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you one of the key features of this rack. We're going to come to the back handle here and we're going to squeeze that until that clicks. We'll tilt our bike rack down until it's completely tilted away from our vehicle.
Rola Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Subaru Forester
Today on our 2017 Subaru Forester, we're going to be test fitting the ROLA TX-1033 bike rack for inch and a quarter and 2 inch hitcher, part number 59403. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. First off, I'd like to point out that it has an integrated cable lock here in the center of the mast. You would pull it out and wrap it around your bikes and attach it to this point here and then lock it into place for security. The cradles themselves are nice and padded so your bike will not get scratched when it's being installed and they're also adjustable along the length of the arms, so this is going to assist with loading your bikes. It grips your bike at 3 points. We have 2 straps up at the top here and 1 off to the side and that's going to serve as an anti-sway strap to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth and possibly hitting the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. With the bike rack in this position, I'm going to go ahead and give you a couple quick measurements.
What our customers are saying:
"Everyone that bought before me was right! I got my rack in time for my next days off and putting it together was fast too. And I'm a grandma!! Thank you for being fast and honest! You beat anyone in my town hands down!"
