Best 2017 Ford Focus Roof Racks

We bought bars, J style kayak carriers and adaptors for our 2017 Ford Focus hatchback. Install was pretty easy. Looks nice and is very solid on the roof. We have two 10 foot kayaks which went up fairly easy on the roof. We have used several times and are very happy with product.

I cannot say enough about this rack. Perfect fit on my 2012 Ford Focus Hatchback. Locking feature is a must! Easy to follow instructions.

I ordered a Thule roof rack fit kit, Aeroblade along w/ a Curt roof rack for my 2005 Ford Focus. We were a family of 5; and now we are 4, we had always traveled in our larger Toyota 4-Runner, which had enough room for everyone and their luggage. Now that we sold the 4-Runner and have only the smaller gas saver, it presented a problem for travel. I ordered the roof rack for our trip to Gatlinburg, TN. It worked fantastic. The shipping was fast and made it to us in time for us to install it. We were able to install it in about 20 minutes after watching the installation videos on etrailer.com. It was able to accommodate all 4 of our large suitcases and freed up leg room to provide a more comfortable trip. The Aeroblades were very quite. We are very pleased with our purchase and would recommend this to anyone who asks.

Quick shipping and great product! Have only been using it for a week or so, but it fits well on my car, is very quiet and has worked well to haul our 2 kayaks (when paired with our kayak attachment sold separately). The instructions were helpful, however, it skipped explaining the step where you need to measure your car width and cut the plastic guides on the bottom of the cross bars to the correct length in order for the feet to attach properly to the car. That was an easy and obvious quick fix, but would have been a nice to have it in the instructions before we got it together and realized it didnt fit on the car.

Free delivery that showed up in 3 days!!! Can't beat it. The crossbars with the Control Towers and LandingPad 9 fit perfectly on my Honda Element. Had them installed in about 30 mins. Don't have my cargo box yet and wanted to test strength, so I had my 110lb wife standing on them with no issues (yes, the car was parked). Plan to take a long camping trip next week with a cargo box on top...wife will be in the vehicle:-)

The Inno foot pack was a good fit for my vehicle and accepted my old Thule square bars.

I ordered the Yakima roof rack, with the Hullyrollers for the back crossbar and the Mako saddles for the front crossbar to use with my kayak. It arrived just like they told me and I put them on my car the eveningit arrived. Got to finlly use the roof rack on June 22 to go out kayaking and it worked great. Only thing is I did not know about the air reflector piece for the front crossbar. Now I will be ordering it to help with the wind noise.

Great rack, go on fast, easy to install and work well on my VW TDI wagon. Care has to be given and follow the instructions for the install to what type of rails you have. Works great carrying the VW luggage carrier and plan on using it to carry kayaks as well. Just have not decided what kayak rack type to get yet.

I have truly enjoyed this system. It allows our family of five plus our dog to stretch out in the car while our gear is secured on the roof. It takes a bit to mount it but I want it secure and it does fine with a roof box at interstate speeds. I absolutely recommend this system.

One year later and everything works well. I had a problem early on where the rubber protection for one of the j clips from the base towers came off. Contacted etrailer and they sent me a whole new assembly direct from Yakima. Thanks for the prompt response and service!

Rack detached from my roof on the highway at about 70mph, taking my cargo container with it. Luckily, no one was behind me as it would have very easily caused an accident. Customer service was terrible and didn’t accept a return. Damaged the contents of the cargo container.Do not buy this product or from this company as they will not help.

A great fit and very secure

This model is not the most stylish and sleek roof rack but its sturdy and made with quality materials. Easy to set up and its even easier to put on the vehicle and take off the vehicle. I only put the rack on my Ford Focus when I go kayaking. Great bang for buck!

The kit etrailer put together contained all the parts I needed. It took a little figuring to determine how to put it together, but in total only about 30 minutes from box opening to mounting. Now that it is all sized and spaced, it should be much quicker to remount in the future. I installed it on a 2016 Ford Focus hatchback. I am planning to carry a Thule Cascade 1700 XT rooftop carrier. So far it looks good. The price was excellent. While driving, it has a bit of an humming noise, but it is not loud or annoying. I like that it has a full set of keys. All told, it seems like a good product at a reasonable price point.

The Rhino Racks Vortex Aero are solid. My first drive with them was to Brighton Utah from Riverside California. They were not only secure throughout the drive and hard winds, they were also reasonably quiet. On top I attached a Thule Force L 628 roof box and it fits perfectly. The only complaints I have are how difficult it was to install the racks to my fixed points. It took several friends, a mechanic, and two days to get everything right.

Bought and installed on my 2019 Honda Fit. I’ve driven from Chicago to Big Bend in TX and to the Black Hills in SD with a cargo box attached and have had zero issues. Installation is simple enough and are easy to take off when needed.

Easy to assemble and, solidly built. Very easy/fast to mount/remove after assembly. The instructions are not all that clear for assembly of the combined sr1003 sr1116. I hope this photo will help. Note that the rubber feet remain on the back bar that crosses the car, but the hook that goes under the door frame is transferred to the sr1116 front to back extender bar.

The rack was fairly easy to put on, do NOT over tighten the rectangular nuts on assembly. They are easy to strip. There are now backup nuts on all four bolts on our unit. Be careful to assure that the rubber pads are correctly positioned on the unit's "feet" before tightening it down on your roof. It looks good and on a recent trip from CT to TN and back, we got the best fuel mileage we've gotten since we bought our CRV over a year ago so it sure doesn't create a lot of drag! Once mounted it is sturdy and not unattractive although the side clamps do distort the door gaskets a bit which increased the wind sound level a bit. I think it is a good value if you are careful mounting it.

This rack works perfectly on my Nissan Versa for carrying my two Perception Sound 9'6" kayaks. The Rhino-Racks look good to me. The kayaks can rest directly on the rubber pads on the rails, unlike the Yakama racks I had in the past that had bare pipe rails. Also, I expect I can buy parts to adapt this product to a different car without having to buy new towers. I am sorry there are not hooks or loops to attach bungees when carrying lumber. They are noisy in the wind, but less so when carrying the kayaks.

Thanks to Etrailer, I am ready to do some serious summer exploring with my 2013 Mazda 3! Rhino Racks, Malone top box, and Kuat bike rack!
