Product was easy to find and order. I was able to tract the order with ease with the online tracking system. The part was shipped within a reasonable time and was exactly the part i need and it fit great. I will order again and i will recommend to friends and family.
I added this trailer hitch and the matching wire harness to a 1999 Jeep Cherokee and could not be happier. This was a great value all the way around, shipping, product quality, fitment, and cost. The installation hardware included was more than comprehensive and it all worked perfectly. The videos produced by the firm were easy to follow, very helpful, and complete. This set up is exactly what I was hoping for and will make my future move considerably less expensive by allowing me to rent a trailer rather than a truck for at least half of the move. Thanks etrailer.com for a very high quality product at a tremendous value. Outstanding service!!!!!!!!

My experience has been great. The product is of very good quality. Delivery was fast and installation was simple. I had sold my truck and needed to have a way to haul various lumber items. A trailer was my choice. My purchase was for the Jeep Cherokee. My grandson had purchased a hitch some time before I did and he was pleased as well so it made my shopping easier. If you need a hitch, etrailer is an excellent source. I think you'll be happy.
The quality of the receiver is good. The installation was difficult due to the fact that the bolt holes on the receiver and the holes on the frame of the Cherokee did not line up perfectly. The bolts with the two plates designed to hold the receiver in place while you tighten all the other bolts did not line up making the installation very difficult

Hitch was very well built. Great welds, and fit my Jeep Cherokee 1816 perfectly. Hitch was delivered very promptly (except for the one day delay of road closure)
Every part of this job was easy . From ordering on etrailer website, to doing the actual job with the help of etrailer help videos.

It took me 3 hours by myself on the ground to install. A rather messy job, but in the end, everything went together perfectly. I especially like how sits back under the car so as not to knock your shins when walking past.
Easy to install and sturdy. It would be five star if the 2 inch receiver wasn't so far under the bumper. It's difficult to reach the hole where the pin holds the hitch in place.

Ordered to fit a 2024 Nissan Frontier. First one, box arrived broken and hitch bent to where I can’t install it. Second one arrives in a busted up box, also bent but on the other side. Pictures included, I tried to bend these into place but it’s almost an inch off. Two stars because customer service has been great - just dissatisfied with shipping and state of product at delivery.
This receiver hitch is heavy duty and very well made. The welds are all smooth and uniform, and the powder coating was great. The bolts and mounting hardware were shipped safely in a sealed plastic bag tucked inside the receiver tube. Install on my Nissan Truck was easy. I would recommend running the threads on the truck frame before attempting to bolt the receiver hitch in place as the factory bolt holes can get filled with dirt and grime.

I have been looking for a hitch for awhile now and then I came across your web page. I have seen Draw-Tite hitches on quite a few vehicles. So I went on to do a little research and to read quite a few of the reviews on this hitch here. After reading the reviews and the price of the hitch at that time I decided that I had found the hitch for my 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Crew. I placed the order and the next day received a message that my order had shipped. The box arrived very quickly after I placed my order which was a pleasant surprise. One side of the box was really tore up and the hitch had come free of the strapping inside the box. The only thing inside the box was the hitch with the tongue/receiver wrapped in plastic wrap and the two pieces of cardboard that had come free. I search the inside of the box for some instructions but did not find any at this point so I would know exactly which bolts to take out. The first thing I did was to jack up the back of my van so I had a little more room to work underneath where the hitch was to go. Then I took off the passenger side rear tire to give me better access to the bolts that had to come out for the hitch and for the exhaust system to be lowered. I then took out the five bolts for the hitch and had to take out the three bolts holding up the exhaust to give me room to install the hitch. Then came the hardest part of the whole process and that was getting the hitch up to a point where I could get a bolt started. I tried using the exhaust system to help me but was still having a problem. So I got a cinder block I had in the garage and put it under one end of the hitch which was a better platform and really helped me getting the other side started. From that point on it went really well getting the other side started and then all five bolts in and tightened down. I then stepped back to see what it looked like and at this time I saw something white deep in the hitch receiver/tongue. When I pulled it out I noticed it was the instruction I had looked for earlier. It would have been nice to have these when I first started. A suggestion would be to put a notice on the plastic wrap that is wrapped around the receiver/tongue of the hitch that states "Instruction Enclosed" or "Packing Slip Enclosed" or just tape them to the inside of the box, not hidden inside a wrapped receiver/tongue of the hitch. I then went back and torqued the five bolts to what it stated on the sheet I found. I then put the three bolts back in the exhaust system to get it back in place which basically completed the installation of my Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch.
We have had the hitch for a year. Only use it for the bike rack as we do not want to tow with the mini van. Hauled 4 bikes to the beach easily and quietly. Assembled as directed and fit in place easily. Satisfied with the product.

I blindly ordered a Draw Tite receiver for my 2011 Acadia - based upon reputation. Had it installed and it cost me $100 do have it put on. Recently weather allowed me to proceed to installing my long term (CURT) 2 inch Ball bar with 2 inch ball into the Draw Tite receiver for work needing to be done and found that it would not allow inserting unless use of sledgehammer. I attempted to file down the misaligned (welded on) collar that was forcing the misalignment and was not able to make to make it work. Nichole at etrailer worked with me and replaced the Draw Tite receiver and I found the replacement was properly aligned and my Ball bar does now fit properly. So - presently had over double the cost for the defective unit and replacemetn that I should have. Being 82 year old I can no longer perform the task of handling this work.
Came 2 days early, didn't take my money till they ship it. Plus I never like to order anything online because I'm afraid it won't fit. But they said it would an it did( 2016 chevy traverse). Also it says 45 mins to install. Sounds About right 10 mins asking the wife an kids to help hold it up with no luck, 10 mins looking for my tools 18mm & 3/4 wrench,10 mins looking at the picture of the instructions because what GUY really reads it? lol, 10 mins putting it on by myself laying on my back in the driveway using my leg to hold it up & 5 mins putting on 1 bolt by the muffler because I didn't read the instructions an lower the muffler out of my way hahahah. P.s is you have soft hands I suggest wearing gloves an waiting for the muffler to cool off because i didn't ??. But all in all it was easy & fast to put on even if your by yourself. Definitely ordering again if I need anything for her car. Thanks etrailer

this trailer hitch was very easy to install. my husband and i easily installed it together onto our 2008 chevy equinox. the hitch is made very well. i attached my kuat bike rack to it, and it is very solid.
The hitch receiver fits and I was able to install it myself torqued to spec. Tricky but doable. I was also happy with the delivery time. However, the box was damaged and there was some minor scuffing to the paint on several of the protruding corners of the hitch receiver. Looking forward to moving some stuff around!!!

I loved this trailer hitch. I installed it on my jeep gran Cherokee because I needed to tow my boat with it and the jeep didn’t come with a hitch. I would definitely recommend this company in the future!!
I did not have any plans to actually haul a trailer so I can't comment yet on how it works to haul a trailer, but I'm sure it will work as is designed... ... However, I purchased it because I became aware of the "Voluntary Recall" from Chrysler because some of the 2003 Jeep grand Cherokees had safety issues because of the potential, that; under certain conditions, when in a rear end collision, in regards to the gas tank, there is a potential for the gas tank getting ruptured and a potentially deadly fire occurring, so I wanted to double-up on preventing that. I decided it was a necessary preventative measure to get this 'Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" '. As far as the quality of the actual product, I would give it a 5 star rating, but instead, I gave it a 4 star rating, because of the inadequate packaging it gets shipped in. I ended up having to get a total of 4 shipped to me for 2 different purchases of this product because of; 1- the 1st one was bent, not so bent that it was obvious, but it just wouldn't bolt-up to the Jeep. I don't know on the 1st one, whether or not it was bent because of a manufacturing issue or from shipping damage. It didn't look bent to the naked eye, but it was. I measured between the mounting holes and discovered it was almost 2 cm off from being equal at opposing diagonal cross-section measurements. The one that it was replaced with, (the 2nd one), bolted right up with no problems and the diagonal cross-section measurements were much closer to being equal. 2- After the Jeep got rear-ended, I wanted to get another new one to install after the body shop repairs get finished for the same safety reasons mentioned above. On this 2nd one, which turned into a 3rd then a 4th one because of shipping damage, as with the 1st one, the shipping damage to the packaging was somewhat severe. The hitch was loose inside of the box and flopping around and part of the hitch was protruding outside of the box... ... Because of that, I was concerned that the Receiver Hitch was probably bent out of proper mounting alignment like the 1st one was. Also, I was not able to get engineering specifications from etrailer.com for the exact measurements between the mounting holes in the Receiver Hitch so I wasn't able to take any measurements to compare. So, just like the 1st one, (the 1st purchase), I returned it for a what would hopefully be an undamaged and not out of alignment or bent replacement, which I did receive. The body shop won't be finished with it for another couple of weeks so I won't know if it bolts up or not, but I'm pretty sure it, like the 2nd one that I got from the 1st purchase order, will bolt-up as it's supposed to. That being said, I am very glad I did get the Trailer Hitch Receiver the 1st time because I was hit from behind by a low vehicle and I think it prevented a rear end collision caused Gasoline Fire and potential serious injury, or worse from happening. Also, the Trailer Hitch Receiver will work quite well for hauling any trailer that the Jeep is legally able to haul and it will work well with a Hitch Mounted Wench or with a Receiver Tow Shackle for when I do go on Four-Wheel-Drive Adventures.

Its been a year since installing the Hitch Receiver. Granted it nearly never rains here in Arizona but i use the hitch everyday and drive a dirt road so I end u reunning the truck through the car wash at least 4 x a week. The hitch stil looks and performs axactly the same as the day I installed it. Although its not recommended I managed to install mine by myself, with no lifs or jacks. It was a bit awkward but I had it installed in about 30 mins on my 2016 Jeep Patriot.
I attached it to a 2007 Jeep Compass and used a 2" ball hitch to pull a canoe trailer and canoe. No problems whatsoever as the both the tow weight and hitch/ball weight were well within limits. This trailer hitch receiver also allows me to tow light loads such as firewood; I'll also use it to transport my daughter's storage unit boxes from college. The boxes will probably weigh more than the firewood. Kudos.
What our customers are saying:
"My Hitch was delivered very quickly. I was surprised to see it so soon. When i installed in on my car, it couldnt have been easier. It is a one person job. Took me about 20 minutes, and it was all together. Thanks for a great product, and great customer service. I will be doing business with you again in the future!"
