Best 2013 Toyota RAV4 Roof Rack Options

What's going on everybody, Adam here, with etrailer today, we're going to be taking a look at you or best roof rack options for your 2013 Toyota RAV4. Today, we're going to go over the different kinds of bars that we have available. The different style clamps that are going to secure it to your roof, and some of the different features that come with some and not with others. I've messed with a lot of different roof racks over the years, being here at etrailer. And a lot of the times, some of the more premium options aren't really the best options. They don't really come with everything you need.



Thule Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2013 Toyota RAV4

Today on our 2013 Toyota Rav4 we'll be taking a look at the Thule Crossroad Roof Rack System using Part Numbers TH450 and THLB50. With our roof rack system assembled according to the instructions, we'll begin our test fit by placing our front bar directly onto the front part of our roof. Now in placing our front bar onto the front part of our roof, we want to find a fix point on our side rails to act as a guide so we can make sure that both feet are in line with each other. As a reference guide we're going to be using the line where the side rail meets the base. We'll set our feet pretty close to this line to ensure that our feet are in line with each other. We'll bring our shaft around ourside rail and fit it back into the foot.



Thule AeroBlade Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2013 Toyota RAV4

Today on our 2013 Toyota Rav4, we will be test fitting the Thule Rapid Crossroad Roof Rack System, using part numbers THARB53 and TH450R. With our roof rack system assembled according to the instructions, we can then begin our test fit by placing the front load bar on to the front part of our roof. To make sure that our feet stay straight across from each other, well find a fix point on the side rail and use that for our foot location. Now we can bring the rubber coated strap around the underside of our rail fitting it back k into our foot pack. Now we will use the included tool to tighten the allen bolt and secure our strap around our side rail. Now well grab our rear bar and place it on to the rear part of our roof. The Thule recommends that we have a minimum load bar spread of 24 inches.



Rhino-Rack Aero Roof Rack Installation - 2013 Toyota RAV4

Today on our 2013 Toyota Rav4 well be test fitting the Rhino Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack with Aero Crossbars 15 inches long in black part number DA126B. Well also be using the custom DK clamps and pads for the Rhino Rack part number DK043. With our roof rack assembled according to the instructions, well begin our test fit by opening our front doors. Well place our front bar onto the front half of our roof. To ensure that we have this in the correct location, we need to measure 150 mm from the center of the door jam to the center of our leg footplate. Well do this measurement on both sides of the vehicle to make sure that our feet are in line with each other.



Rhino-Rack Aero Roof Rack Installation - 2013 Toyota RAV4 DA126

Today on our 2013 Toyota Rav4 well be test fitting the Rhino Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack System using part numbers DA126 and DK043. With our roof rack system assembled according to the instructions, well begin our test fit by opening both front doors. Well place our front bar onto the front part of our roof. To ensure that we have it in the correct location, we need to measure 150 mm from the center of the door jam to the center of our leg footplate. Well do this measurement on both sides to ensure that our feet are in line with each other. Once we have it set in the correct location, we can then use the included tool to tighten our clamps to our roofline.
