Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at this Rear View Safety G-Series backup camera system. This universal replacement mirror monitor will replace most existing rear-view mirrors and give you the convenience of a backup camera displayed on your mirror. You can replace your rear-view mirror with this mirror and have it display your backup camera on a bright 4.3 inch color TFT LCD display that's within this mirror. And the backup camera right here is completely weatherproof with an IP68 rating and it boast excellent night vision. It also has an ultra wide 170-degree viewing angle.
Now this mirror also features auto-dimming to reduce distracting glare from reflected headlights. This mirror has two light sensors. The back sensor here detects ambient light, while the front sensor right here is going to detect light from the headlights behind you. And this also features a built-in compass and temperature display. Now this system comes included with everything that you see here on the table before me.
You're going to get all of the wires, the connectors, and the mounts necessary for installation. You're also going to get a remote control to help you easily go through the menu functions on this mirror to set this up the way that's going to be best for you and your vehicle. Now I went ahead and took some overall measurements of this mirror before our time together. The overall length at the longest points of this mirror here, we're sitting at about 10 5/8 inches long. The overall height at the tallest part of the mirror, we're sitting at about 3 1/4 inches tall.
And then the overall thickness of just the mirror itself, we are sitting right about 1 3/4 inches thick there at the thickest point in this mirror. This style of camera in the mirror solves a lot of location problems on the dash. A good engineered product that should outlast the vehicle its installed on. I had good service from Etrailerr and the item was delivered intact and promptly.
Great unit. My only recamindashion would be to watch the instal video and get everthing needed to install in one ordre.
