Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this rear view safety backup camera system for the Ford Econoline vans. Now, this Ford Econoline backup camera system has this nice crystal clear seven inch LED digital panel color monitor with a pixel resolution of 800 by 480. And it uses distance grid lines that are optional and adjustable. Does offer a mirror image capability and auto-dimming feature.
Does have built in speakers. And its menu can be navigated with these back lit on-dash buttons or with the included wireless remote. If you notice, I got it attached to the universal adjustable mount here, basically this will let you adjust it to whatever position you need. Just loosen it, and it'll let it go up or down, and you can even tilt it whichever way you want. Also, does come with the seven foot long monitor cable. Now the camera itself right here, as you can see, it's very small.
It's a 2.1 millimeter color CCD camera that stands for compact cube design. It's built with a nice heavy duty zinc metal, and a compact size of less than one inch in length, width, and depth. You can see it's a very small camera.Does have a viewing angle of 170 degrees. Does use infrared lights to supply night vision. Allows you to see up to 50 feet in the darkest night.
And the camera itself is completely weatherproof with an IP68K rating. It's very strong, reliable, shock-resistant, has a 10G vibration rating. And it does come with this included 66 foot long extension cable for the camera. Now the brains of the system right here is this three channel multiplexer with an automatic system switch. This will power and receive the camera feeds and send them to your monitor. It does have three inputs which will allow for two additional cameras besides the one that's included.
Does also include this five pin female to RC female adapter, and the power harness for running the power to it. All these features use the nice aircraft grade cable connections, and it does include all the wires, connectors, mounts, mounting hardware you need. Even gives you this nice detailed operators manual.Last thing I want to measure for you. Now, if you notice this monitors have a nice sunshade installed on it. If you don't want that, you can pop it off. Wanted to give you some dimensions on this. The width of the monitor again is seven inches. Overall height is right at 5-1/4 inches, and the depth not including this sunshade is only about 3/4 of an inch deep. But that should do it for the review on this rear view safety backup camera system for the Ford Econoline vans.

Quick shipping, easy order process, ordered the same product from another vendor who promised next day delivery and did not hold up to their end. Do not order from Truckid or Carid. Product fits perfectly in Isuzu. Will order again.
Thanks
Great system, installed this for one of my customers
superior upgrade for us. would have been 5 star but the installation and usage instructions are almost worthless. 8^)
Exactly what I needed for our venerable 2003 Jayco travel trailer. 3D printed a very neat unit that holds the display and fits into a “sunglasses pocket” on the top of the dashboard of our Chevy Colorado pickup.
Works fine use it on my pontoon boat!
