Lifting big electric bikes can be tough, but here it’s easy. The hydro-pneumatic arms deploy automatically with just a tap of the lever, so you can keep both hands on your bike while loading. Each arm glides smoothly thanks to a Kashima coating that resists grime and water. Once the wheels are in place, the ratchets lock them down tight—no frame clamps, no heavy lifting, no struggle.
Your bike’s paint and tubing stay untouched because the Piston Pro X holds only by the wheels. The U-shaped bridges lock onto the tire, and each bridge slides to match labeled sizes—20", 24", 26", 27.5", and 29"—with a simple pinch-and-slide motion. Grooved wheel trays fit everything from narrow 18c road tires to 5" fat rubber, letting you position bikes exactly where you want them to keep handlebars clear.
Getting to your cargo area shouldn’t mean taking bikes off. A spring-loaded hand and foot pedal tilts the rack down even when it’s fully loaded, so grabbing gear mid-trip is quick. It also folds up to stay out of the way when parked. The pedal sits right where you need it—step to drop, pull to raise—so there’s no reaching or crawling between bikes.
Built-in LED lights plug into your 4-way connector and sync with your brake and turn signals. Whether the rack is folded or loaded, the lights stay visible to everyone behind you. It’s extra peace of mind for night drives or rainy road trips, all powered straight from your vehicle through the included wiring harness.
The rack tightens inside the hitch using a flatlock cam that eliminates play and rattle. Once installed, keyed-alike locks protect both the bikes and the rack itself. A 12-mm braided steel cable slides through your frames and locks back into the rack, while a stainless hitch lock keeps everything secure. When you’re done, the custom security tool stores right in the rack so it’s always ready for the next ride.

After a year I’m still floored by the quality, and ease of use. Had a pinched wire for the tail lights, and Kuat sent out a replacement set of wires no questions asked for free. To notch company!
