This 2-bike add-on lets you transform your Kuat NV 2.0 Base 2-bike rack (BA22B - sold separately) into a 4-bike rack. It holds 2 bikes by the wheels with adjustable hooks and sliding ratcheting straps. Integrated cable locks included.

Excellent rack - rock solid, holds bike without wobbling. Fits 2021 Toyota Rav4 XLE with Toyota Hitch perfectly. Easy to tilt up and down (but it takes 2 hands to do so, which is a little annoying). At the risk of stating the obvious, it is a little annoying to leave it on all the time - I don't like leaving it horizontal for fear that a car will clip it when driving, so I keep it in the raised position.. But this means that I have to lower it every time I want to access my hatch. Lock works well also. The kids bike adapter seems to work fine (only tried once).
One downer - some of the fasteners are already rusting a little (see pic), and I've only had it on my car for 3 months (May to August in PA).
Delivered quickly. Product is as advertised. Best pricing I found anywhere. The rack took ~1 hr to assemble - a bit challenging to figure out but got easier as it progressed. It takes <5 mins to attach this to the base unit rack while mounted on car. This speed of install will make it easier to change between 2 and 4 bike arrangements as needed. Note: the integrated locks have a different key than base unit - will now need to keep a pair of keys handy. Not a huge fan of the integrated locking gizmos - they work but are awkward to engage, these could be designed better for easier use it seems.

Not great, but okay. The locking mechanisms for the cable locks are garbage - they slip out of the ‘holsters’ and drag on the ground and 2 are hence ruined. The overall ability to convert from 2 to 4 bikes with ease is nice, but the locks get zero stars. For as expensive as this rack is, these should be better designed.
This bicycle carrier is fantastic! It takes seconds to secure the bicycle to the vehicle and it is very secure. The addition allows 4 bikes and does protrude from the back of the vechicle a bit, but overall a very secure and an easy carrier. Although a bit more expensive than others, this trailer will probably last the for years to come. Etrailer was less expensive than others with free shipping and delivery was very prompt. Will use them again.
First off Etrailer Corp. did a fantastic job with my order. Not only did I get a very good deal. Etrailer Corp went beyond that and quick shipped my order. Carrier assembly was four bolts to install and tightened and the carrier was ready to use. This is the best carrier for anyone that wants a safe way to carry their extra bikes. This easily attaches to my Kuat base carrier to carry additional two bikes. And it is easily comes back off with the removal of two bolts and lock. No more frame scratches and the quickest way to mount or dismount in seconds. You can load and unload in under a minute! Would recommend to anyone.
Kuat makes the best bike racks and their customer service is top notch. Full stop.

The rack is well made and as sturdy as you would expect from a great company like Kuat. I discovered that I actually have the standard rack instead of the Base, however, other than the finish (this extension is matte black, the standard is gloss), it bolts together perfectly and works fine. Amazing customer service from etrailer as always!

Great bike rack! We have this and the additional two bike rack add on. Easy to use, strong, secure. Not cheap but the quality is well worth the money.
