  • Roadmaster
  • Removable Draw Bars
  • Hitch Pin Attachment
  • Partially Hidden

The crossbar-style hidden brackets attach to your vehicle's frame to provide attachment points for your tow bar. The visible portions of the brackets can be removed when you are not towing.

Features:

  • Hidden bracket design - drawbars are easily removable via 2 pins
    • Improved aesthetics compared with standard brackets
  • Computer-cut, all-steel construction provides exceptional strength
  • Black powder coat finish is durable and corrosion resistant
  • Simple installation - no welding required
    • Custom base plates ensure a perfect fit for your vehicle
  • Compatible with Roadmaster tow bars with use of quick-disconnect crossbar (910021-00 - sold separately)
  • Instructions and mounting hardware included
  • Made in the USA
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty

The square drawbars, or front arms, on the crossbar-style base plate kit are simple to mount and remove, easily securing with hitch pins. Once the drawbars have been removed, the remaining brackets are virtually invisible. On most automobiles, the brackets are mounted within the grille, where they remain not only unseen, but protected from scrapes and scuffs as well.

  • Can 2007 Toyota Tacoma be Flat Towed Behind Motorhome
Hey Ruben, to flat tow or dolly tow a 2WD 2007 Toyota Tacoma would require a driveshaft disconnect which we do not carry. You'd have to source that somewhere else but if you do that you could use the Roadmaster base plate kit # 1175-1 and Falcon tow bar part # RM-520. Tow dollies aren't bad either but I wouldn't want to store one so that's not route I would go unless you have plenty of room to store one.

  • Is Drilling Required for the Roadmaster MX Base Plate Kit on a 2007 Toyota Tacoma
Some drilling is required for the Roadmaster base plate kits if your 2007 Toyota Tacoma is a 2 wheel drive model. The 4 wheel drive and Prerunner models do not require drilling because there will be a bolt holding a frame cap in place. I have attached a photo showing where the drilling is required on the 2 wheel drive models. Only one 1/2 inch hole must be drilled on each side for the bottom support bracket. A few things to keep in mind with this base plate kit is that it will not work...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2005 Toyota Tacoma TRD
For a base plate kit for your 2005 Toyota Tacoma TRD you'd want the Roadmaster Direct Connect part # 1175-3 which is a confirmed fit. In addition to the base plates, you will also need a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking to flat tow your vehicle. The most popular compatible tow bar is the Falcon All Terrain, # RM-522. This has non-binding arms which makes the setup very easy to connect/disconnect. For lighting/safety cables, locks, and covers for the...

  • 2007 Toyota Tacoma Base Plate Kit Options to Fit with Roadmaster Tow Bar
The correct Roadmaster base plates for your 2007 Toyota Tacoma are the following: - Direct-Connect # 1175-3 - Crossbar-Style # 1175-1 If your Roadmaster tow bar has individual joints with bolts, like what we see pictured with the Falcon All-Terrain Tow Bar # RM-522, then you need the Direct-Connect. The only other way that the Roadmaster Tow Bars connect to their base plate kits is with the Crossbar-Style which uses the Quick Disconnect Crossbar Assembly # 910021-00 to link the tow...

  • Recommended Base Plates For 2012 Toyota Tacoma
It is no bother at all. We are happy to answer the questions you have and want to make sure you get the items that work best for you. Both of the base plates, part # 1175-1, and part # 1175-3 are designed to fit your 2012 Toyota Tacoma. Both of the base plates will work with the RoadMaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar, part # RM-520, and both require the same amount of drilling for installation. I recommend using the # 1175-1 base plates. The # 1175-1 requires the crossbar to be used on the Falcon...

  • Roadmaster Guardian Rock Guard Recommendation for a Roadmaster Flat Towing Setup
For your flat towing setup that consists of the # RM-501 and # 1175-1 you would want the Roadmaster Guardian Rock Guard # RM-4000 to protect your towed vehicle from rock chips while being flat towed. This product is compatible with your setup, would work great, and is easy to use. Check out the install instructions I attached for more info on how it installs and works.

  • Additional Equipment Required for Flat Towing a 2010 Toyota Tacoma with Roadmaster Tracker Tow Bar
The Roadmaster Tracker Tow Bar is compatible with the XL bases plates, part # 1175-1, that will fit your 2010 Tacoma as long as it is not an X-Runner model. With these two parts, your tow bar is set. All you have left is wiring/lights and possibly a supplemental braking system. We have two basic options for wiring/lights. You can use a diode wiring kit like part # RM-154. This kit wires diodes into your existing Tacoma wiring and will use the factory Tacoma lights when towing. I have added...

There are 5 items you need when you flat-tow a vehicle behind your RV. • Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2005 Toyota Tacoma
There are base plates that fit your 2005 Toyota Tacoma, though the Roadmaster # RM-521196-5 base plates you referenced are not a fit. In regards to if this truck can be flat towed, I looked in the online version of the owner's manual and was not able to find any reference to if this truck could be flat towed (sometimes called Recreational Towing) so I recommend contacting your local Toyota dealer to find out if this truck can be flat towed. In regards to each of the other parts you need...

Yes, there is some drilling required to install base plates # 1175-3 on your 2012 Toyota Tacoma. I have included a link to the installation instructions to the right for you to view. • Confirming Fit of Roadmaster # 1175-1 Base Plate Kit on 2012 Toyota Tacoma 4x4
According to my Roadmaster representative, the # 1175-1 is indeed compatible with your 2012 Tacoma 4x4.
