I have tow bar mounts on a 1987 suzuki samurai. not sure what brand, but the shackles measure 2 3\16 between ears and uses a 1\2 in pin. it had a genaric tow bar on it that onnects to a ball on tow side but has 1 inch of play sise to side on pins. will falcon 2 bar ends fit? or other brands with by chaging out adapter?

There isn't a way to know for sure without knowing what you have currently, however it sounds like you have the:
-Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX3501.
This base plate kit is a direct fit for your 1987 Suzuki Samurai, measures 24" between tabs, and weighs 28-lbs.
If this is what your Samurai has, then you are going to need an adapter # RM-031 unless you have the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates # RM-525 in which this will work with your Blue Ox base plates with no adapter.
If you're interested in completing a flat towing setup, you're going to also need a braking system # RM-9060 and a wiring kit # RM-152-98146-7.
