Relay and Fuse Locations for a Brake Controller on a Jayco RV Built on Ford E-450 Chassis
Question:
I ordered a P3 and wiring harness from you for my Jayco Class C MH I just bought. It hasnt arrived, but trying to get ahead of the game. It has a Ford E450 chassis. I was told at the dealers that I need to install an included relay, and a 40 amp fuse under the hood. The factory brake controller doesnt seem to have been installed. So which number in the fuse box does the relay and fuse plug into? Thanks for any info.

I wasn't certain which year E-450 chassis the motor home was built on so I checked online copies of the owner's manuals for 2013 and 2014. According to the manual in the fuses section the brake controller fuse is in location 18 in the power distribution box and location 33 in the in-cab fuse box. I did not see anything about a relay though. I am not sure if the RV cutaway models are different so you will need to check your owner's manual to confirm.
