What Bearing Kit do I Need for My 2021 Rockwood Ultra Lite RW Travel Trailer with 3,900 Pound Axles?

Question:

2021 Rockwood Ultra lite RW travel trailer. Wheel Bearings and Seals. I see some questions and answers referring to 3500 lb and 4400 lb axles. I looked at the label on my axles and it states Capacity: 3900 Unique ID: 614566262319 Any information about a wheel bearing kit for this? Thanks

Hello David,

I do not have a database that supplies me with what is put on what trailer. We will definitely have some bearings that will work for you, but it's going to take a little more work for you, for that I am sorry.

In my research I am showing that it uses the typical 3,500 pound bearings which would be the kit you were looking at, the Hub Bearing Kit for Lippert, Dexter, and AL-KO Axles - 3,500 lb with #84 Spindle # BK2-100.

You will either want to remove the hub and get those greasy bearings out and wipe them off to read the numbers off of the bearing to make sure they match the inner bearing L68149 with 1.378" ID, and outer bearing L44649 with 1.063" ID.

Or you can remove the hub and measure the spindle. I attached an image that shows where to measure the spindle to make sure the ID of the above bearing match. I have ran into Axles rated for 3,900 pounds that actually have beefier spindles on them that use 6K bearings which is why you will need to double check.

Hey David, did you have a chance to check the numbers on your bearings or measure the spindle to see if the 3,500-pound bearing kit is the right fit for your trailer? I'm asking because your experience could really help others with similar axle setups.
