What Lift Kit do I Need for My 16 Foot Casita Travel Trailer Sport?

Hello Brian,

Happy to find a way for you to get your camper lifted for some extra clearance. I do not have a database that supplies me with what is put on what trailer. In my research I see that it is most likely a torsion axle, you will need to check your axle tag to make sure that it is a #10 Torflex axle, if you are not sure please feel free to send me a picture of you axle tag. After you confirm that, you will want the Torflex Lift Kit - Single Axle - 2-5/8" Lift # K71-707-01.

Kate, The axel tag has been painted over. I am going to call Casita to ask them. I did have another question. I see some people added larger tire sizes after the lift. Is that something that needs to be done or can I keep my original size tires? I am not sure where the lift goes so will adding the lift alone raise my tongue height? That’s what I am really trying to accomplish. The tongue height is too low now and causes problems. Thank you,

@BrianK Thanks for confirming that information. Yes, I have noticed that a lot of people lift them for the bigger tires as well. By adding this lift it will definitely raise the height of the tongue, and knowing that you for sure have the # 10 Torflex axle the # K71-707-01 is the right kit for you. If you are having issues with the tongue weight, it would help to add a weight distribution system like the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37040ET if you do not have one already.
