Question:
I have a single axle Prestige boat trailer with surge brakes and the entire mechanism for the the coupler and surge brakes has failed. But it isnt a standard surge brake master cylinder assembly. Any tips on what parts to buy to replace it?

Hey Shawn, so you have a now discontinued Atwood actuator that is totally obsolete so you will need to have it removed and install a replacement like the part # 099-175-20 which is for surge disc brakes. You'll need to have your Atwood cut off and this welded back on it it's place.

Ok, I have 12"x2" drum brakes, I realize they make one for drums. Can I step down in size since my axle is only 5200lb? Or should I stick with the 7500lb version?
