How to Determine if a Vehicle Like a 2007 Toyota Highlander has a Tow Package
Question:
How do I tell if my hybrid highlander has the tow package installed so I can use the simple wiring harness #118248 that plugs into the 10 pin plug? Or if I need to use the #118413 or #119176KIT harnesses? The 10 pin plug exists, in exactly the same place as your videos. As does a 4 pin plug...

Tow packages usually consist of hitches, wiring, lower gear differentials, transmission coolers and bigger brakes. For most vehicles if you have most of those items then you have the tow package. The final authority would be contacting a Toyota dealer with your VIN number, and they will tell you for certain. Since you have the connections already on your 2007 Toyota Highlander it sounds like you have it and the Tow Ready Harness part # 118248, but you still might want to contact your Toyota dealer with your VIN to verify.
Otherwise, the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236 would be your best choice. I attached install videos for both wiring harnesses.
