Will The Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System Require Running New Wiring For The Thermostat
Question:
So with the FR55PV, would I need to pull in a new thermostat wire?

When I've installed AC systems in the past I was able to reuse some of the wiring that was already there for the thermostat, but it's very case by case. You don't necessarily need to know the functions of the wires because at this point since you're repurposing them to your needs. The problem I've run into is a lack of enough wires or if the system had a wireless thermostat then I had no wires to use and would have to run new wire.
The Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR55PV thermostat only needs 4 wires. In the attached video below John just used spare 4-pole wiring like what you'd get with part # HM38136. You could buy individual wiring but I find it's a bit easier to trace it through the walls if it's all together. If you're going through the ceiling I typically remove lights and smaller vents (if you have a ducted system) so that I can easily jump from one spot to another with the wiring. You'll want an extra person and some a fish tape in order to pull your wiring through the ceiling/walls.
