Question:
I have an 8.5 x 28 ft enclosed trailer. It has a 60 amp electrical package installed. What air conditioner would you recommend to keep this trailer cool? Any air and heat combo units that would work?

For your 8.5' x 28' enclosed trailer I recommend the Furrion Chill Basic RV Air Conditioner System # FR88PR
These units have an optional Heat Strip, # FR35SR for the # FR92PR and # FR27PR for the # FR55PV. I do want to not that heat strips and heat pumps are not really designed to fully heat a trailer and are more just to help in chilly weather. If you plan on camping in cold weather you would want to install a furnace as well.
The rooftop condenser units are quite heavy so you will need to cut a 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" hole for the opening and reinforce it to handle the weight of the unit.
The start capacitor in these units will help jump-start the AC when a campsite or generator doesn't provide enough power, and store energy that will later be used for the next startup, which in-turn will increase the lifespan of the unit.
