How to Tell if My 2010 Dodge Dakota Has the Factory Tow Package
Question:
How do I know if my 2010 Dakota has the factory tow package?

You can either take the VIN of your 2010 Dodge Dakota and reach out to your local Dodge dealer and they can confirm that for you or you can look at the trailer wiring on your Dakota. If it has a single square plug like what the Hopkins Wiring # HM42190 connects to then it has the tow package. If instead the wiring runs to the tail lights like the Curt Wiring # 55323 then you don't have the tow package.
If you don't have anything on your pickup then you don't have the tow package and you need to add the Curt Hitch # 13230 and basic Wiring # 55323 as well as a ball mount like the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount # BWTS10033B to tow with your truck.
