Does Power Wiring on Badlands Apex 12000 Winch Need to be Stripped for Anderson Connector

Question:
I need to put my Badland Apex 12000 on the rear trailer hitch of my Toyota 4Runner Limited. I think your BDW20155 winch receiver mount fits the Apex 12000 mounting holes. What I’m not sure about is the BDW20206 rear wiring kit connecting to the winch. I understand the quick connect and getting it mounted in the rear near the hitch, but then how do I get the power to the winch? Do I need to cut and strip insulation from the supplied power cables then crimp them into the empty quick connect? I hate to destroy the nice cables that came with the winch. Let me know what you think. Thanks

The Bulldog Winch Receiver Mount Kit # BDW20155 has the standard 10 x 4.5" mounting bolt pattern which will match up exactly with your Badland Apex 12000.
As for the wiring, you will need to route the wire from your 4Runner battery and mount the Anderson connector at the back of your truck and then strip the wiring on your winch to connect with the extra Anderson connector that comes in the Bulldog Winch Rear Wiring Kit # BDW20206.
I definitely understand where you're coming from about messing with the cables from your winch but what you could do is have a short extension with the Anderson connector and battery terminals like what we have with the Replacement Battery Cable for Buyers Products Jumper Cables # 3375601020. This then allows you to have those ring terminals handy at any point in time like what you currently have.
