Shorter Replacement Rear Jacks For Lippert Ground Control 3.0 4-Point Leveling Increased Clearance

Updated 06/27/2025 | Published 04/04/2022

Question:

i have a 2018 forest river sandpiper 3250 ik ht. This rv has a ground control 3.0 auto leveling by L C I. My issue is there is no adjustment left in the mounting bracket to raise this up off the ground more ,it is at 5 inches off the ground to the foot plate. Is there a shorter set of landing legs that I could buy to get these raised up off the ground. Any help on this is would be appreciated thank you

I reached out to Lippert to confirm that you can change out your 24-1/2" rear jacks that come with the 4-Point Lippert Ground Control 3.0 # LC358590 with the Short Left Rear Leg # LC342610 and Short Right Rear Leg # LC428493. They confirmed that there will not be any issues with the control board and the shorter jacks. These jacks are 2" shorter at only 22-1/2" tall and still have the same 12-1/2" of total lift as your current jacks.

I have the 3.0 lippert jack electric that just got bent over by the curb. Would like to know if there is a little bit smaller jack that sits a little bit higher up since there a chance of not getting bent out of shape. I have 15" tires on trailer now,or do I go to a taller tire

@Leonard I can definitely see what we have for you. Did the jack get bent while driving or did this happen when you were parked somewhere lowering the jacks? Just wanting to see if you are looking for something that sits higher on the trailer when you are towing it, or if this situation is when you are getting set up for your stay. Let me know and I can dig into this for you.

@Leonard In terms of a shorter one that we have, you can switch and use the shorter of the legs on any point of the trailer. Something like the lower 22 1/2" leg # LC428493 could be switched with a longer leg you may be using. They stick with the same total lift but are 2" shorter as a unit than the longer legs on your system. If that is not going to give you enough you may want to think about options to raise your trailer.
