Question:
I have a Honda Accord and a 1 1/4” hitch on it. Wanting to carry an 85# electric dirt bike Surron X Light Bee. Do you think a 1 1/4’ to 2” conversion hitch will cause too much sway? Will it be stable enough?

I have an answer for you. When it comes to using a hitch adapter on your 1-1/4 inch hitch to accommodate a 2-inch accessory, it is important to note that any time you use an adapter/extender, you will be decreasing the overall weight capacity of the hitch by 50%. With that being said, you will have added instability on your vehicle if you use an adapter like the Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" # HTAD. I recommend making sure that the hitch will be able to hold the weight of the hitch adapter (7 pounds), your rack, and your 85-pound dirt bike. I did some research on recent years of Honda accords, and you unfortunately will not be able to install these accessories if you can a 1-1/4" class 1 hitch.
If you are looking for a rack to transport your dirk bike, I recommend the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp # UF48-979033. The Ultra-Fab carrier has a weight of 53 pounds and will be able to transport your 85-pound dirt bike. Along with the carrier, I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitch # e98882.
The best option is to install a 2-inch receiver on your vehicle so you do not have to use a hitch adapter and lower your hitch capacity. If you can verify the year of your Honda Accord, I will be able to recommend a hitch receiver for you.
