2019 VW Jetta SEL Roof Rack and Panoramic Sunroof Clearance

Hello, I am currently looking at the Rhino Rack Vortex System, but my question applies to all available systems. Does this roof rack system allow for the opening of the sun roof while installed? The VW Roof rack says the sun roof can still be opened in vent mode only while their systems is installed, but not full open in the slid back position. Thank you

From all of the installs I've done with the Rhino Rack Aero Crossbars # RRVA126B-2 # RRRLKVA and # DK424 there is usually plenty of space to open a panoramic roof. Measure from your roof to the top of the opened sun roof. It it exceeds 3-1/2 inches it will not work. I am very confident that you will not have issues with clearance on your 2019 Volkswagen Jetta.

Hey Rick, I went through the install instructions of the Roadmaster Direct Connect base plate kit part #RM97RR and you actually trim out a whole in the shutters and reinstall them. They are not totally removed. Do you have a tow bar already?
