Will Rhino-Rack Fairing for Roof Racks Scratch Vehicle's Roof

Question:
I have this currently installed on my subaru and am wondering how to adjust it so that it doesnt hit my roof? dont want it resting on the roof that it damages the paint

The Rhino-Rack Fairing for Roof Racks # RRRF2 referenced in your question is going to bounce a bit from the wind when traveling with it installed. Because of this, there is no real way to prevent the bottom of the fairing from making contact with the roof of your Subaru. With this in mind, Rhino-Rack did include rubber bumpers on the bottom of the fairing for this specific reason. These bumpers will prevent the fairing from scratching or causing abrasions on your vehicle's roof.
I have attached a short video demonstration for this product for you to check out. You can see how the bumpers protect the paint finish on the vehicle at around the 53 second mark.
