I would like to know what kind of part should I buy that is the same as 909506000?

The Kwikee Control Box #909506000 has been discontinued by the manufacturer. The replacement part is determined by the date of manufacture which you can determine by looking at the current part which will have a date on it. If not, you can supply the serial number to have us determine the date.

If your steps were manufactured prior to February of 1999, then there is not replacement parts available and you'd need to replace the entire step.

If it is between 1999-2005, you will need an update of all the electronic components and can use Lippert Components Kwikee Step Motor Conversion/Upgrade Kit # LC379145. This kit includes the controller, motor, curved linkage, 4 way pigtail fasteners, clevis and cotter pin and is compatible with Kwikee Series 22, 23, 28A, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 38, and 40 steps.

If you have a 2005 or newer RV step with IMGL motor, then the Lippert # LC379146, can be used.

I also need to replace my kwikee pn 909506000 step controller on my 2004 chinook rv Is the number 0289824 a serial no or date to identify a replacement part

@NathanL Based on the 909506000 part number you'd be able to use the Replacement Control Unit for Kwikee Electric RV Steps # LC379606. If you wanted to replace the motor, linkage, pigtail wire harness, door switches, and controller then you could go with the upgrade kit # LC379145 Les talked about above. The 0289824 number you provided unfortunately didn't come back to anything.

Hi, my serial no. is 0162544 for my step controller. I have a 2002 Airstream Land Yacht. Old controller no. is 909506000. I was wondering if I could just get the updated controller without the new door switch? Dean

@Dean The correct replacement control module for your 909506000 controller is the Lippert Components Kwikee Control Unit for pre-IMGL/9510 Step Control item # LC379606. This is for pre-IMGL step units that were manufactured from 1999 to 2005. I do not have the control module available without the switches.

@RussS What's the year of the RV the step is on? If we can get an age of the RV and the steps that will be helpful but the number you mentioned is not a serial number.

I have a 2004 Monoco Dynasty and the controller for the step motor is bad. The part number is 909506000and the manufactured date is 0126799 or this could be the serial number. Do I need kit# LC379145.

@DaleP For just the control unit you need the part # LC379606. If you're also needing to replace the gearbox and motor, then you'll need the Upgrade Kit # LC379145 instead.
