Question:
Have a 2007 Jeep Wrangler with ARB bumper with winch. Want to tow using existing stow master tow bar. Would part #1437-3 be correct base plate for this application? Thanks

We do have base plates that will work with your 2007 Jeep Wrangler with an ARB bumper, but the Roadmaster # 1437-3 you asked about is designed specifically to replace the D-rings on Rugged Ridge XHD bumpers with part numbers 11540-10 or 11540-11, so it isn't a fit for your Jeep. The only option to add base plates to your '07 Wrangler with an ARB bumper is an option from Blue Ox:
- Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1134
There isn't an adapter available that allows a Roadmaster Stowmaster tow bar to fit Blue Ox base plates, so you would need a new tow bar, and while I know this isn't the news you were looking for, you should be able to offset some of the cost by selling your Stowmaster. Then for a tow bar, the one I like the most for its value is the Curt Rambler Steel Tow Bar for Curt and Blue Ox Base Plates # C26FR.
The other parts you will need in order to flat tow your 2007 Wrangler if you don't have them yet are wiring, a braking system, and a battery disconnect. Here is the list of what you would need:
- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154
- Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect # RM-766
- Supplemental Braking System: Brake Buddy Classic 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39494
