Part Needed to Wire Third Brake Light on Camper Shell of 1998 Chevy

Question:
I have a 98 Chevy k1500 pickup. I have a new camper shell with third mount brake light. Which wire can I use for the signal? I do not have a light blue wire as indicated in other answers. I only have the basic wiring from the harness on the left frame rail. There does not appear to be any extra wiring except for an #8 orange wire and #14 dark blue. Other than that, black, white, yellow, dark green, light green and brown. The brake light bulb is, of course, also the turn signal. Thanks

We actually do have a part you can use to wire the third brake light on your camper shell, but wouldn't have any way of knowing what specific wires do what on your 1998 Chevy, as you'd need to determine wiring functions by circuit tester. But what you can use in order to filter out the turn signals so the third brake light activates only when you hit the brakes is the 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702.
The yellow wires will go to the turn/brake signals and the green wire will go to the third brake light and you'll have a functioning light.
I have added a link below to a video review as well as the instructions for you to check out of the 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702.
