Fifth Wheel Rails For 2004 Chevrolet Kodiak To Use 20K Fifth Wheel Hitch
Question:
I have a 2004 Chevy C4500 kodiak and cannot fine frame brackets for it. I found these and was wondering what to load rating is. I have a 20k hitch and I am doubting if this will work. Do you have any brackets that are made for the kodiak?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The only option available for the 2004 Chevy Kodiak is the universal option. Fifth wheel rails and the brackets like part # RP30439 do not have a specified weight rating per say. They have the same weight rating as the hitch that is installed on them because the brackets attach directly to the vehicle's frame. The Reese Universal kit RP30439 does include grade 5 hardware. These brackets are designed for Reese Universal Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches part # RP58058. Since they are universal you will not have an issue installing these parts on the 2004 Chevy Kodiak and using your 20K hitch.
